The Gift, The Real,True one!

Sunday, December 12, 2010

We went to see The Gift last night at my friend's church,Back Mountain Harvest and it was so beautiful.
They do it outside in the church yard and the work put into it is unbelieveable.
They make the set every year,As I understand it,and they had 2 horses,One to pull the chariot and one to ride, they had a steer,a donkey, goats(instead of sheep)and 2 camels.
It was so moving,it was amazing from start to finish.
They have done this for 17 years(at least 50 tumes) and all free to everyone.
There were so many people there last night it was so(i can't think of anything to describe it)
tremendous?
They had to cancel tonight's performance because it is supposed to rain and be nasty but I am so glad I got tp see it.
The true meaning of Christmas.Beautiful

Three hour trail ride

Sunday, October 17, 2010

I did it and I was a lot scared.
I went on a trail ride with Bella and about 20 other horses. It was a clothes pin scavenger hunt.
I only got 3 pins but I got experience on the trail both good and bad.
I did a lot better than last time I controlled her a lot better I only got poked with branches that wounded two good ones.
She jumped twice(she likes to jump sometimes )I don't at all plus I lost my stirrups twice but I DID IT and I am proud of myself for not backing out.
Next is to work out more in the arena and round pen.
I know it is me who needs the confidence and experience and I know I can do it.
What a work out. Sore in many places but happy.

I am thinking to go horse back riding when I get down to 145 pounds! I want to do something different and have always wanted to ride but felt I was too heavy to try.

Your blog is inspiring.
Glad you have a horse that you can ride. emoticon

Keep up the great work.

Ahhh!October!

Friday, October 01, 2010

I couldn't wait for a new month and what better month than my birth month.
Tomorrow I will be 57 years old(Or Young) and I made a vow to get my act together.
I only lost 10 pounds since I joined Spark People because I slacked off a lot,ate crappy stuff (not a lot but enough to hurt) and the best part is I onlyhad 20 pounds I wanted to lose.
I want abs of steel and arms that are firm.I want to be able to have a profile that looks good not hiding some kids ball under my shirt.SOOOOOOO!What are we going to do about it.WORK HARDER,that's what.
Say no to donuts when I pack my own healthy lunch.(SHH!between you and me sometimes my lunch went to work and back home like "bring your kid to work day.")
BUt today,a new month,a new start, and a new determined attitude to lose the last 10 pounds by December 31st.
Eating healthier the top on the list, working out right below it.
I can do it.We can do it.So let's go.Nothing is stopping us but ourselves.
GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!YES!

Trying to straighten up my page

Sunday, September 12, 2010

Our computer is running slow and we don't have room for updates so I am trying to read things and delete things hoping it will help.
Does anyone know if keeping older feeds and stuff like that slow down a computer.
I hope I am doing the right thing.I feel bad deleting stuff people coment on but they are from awhile ago.
I am even trying my best for all my emails.I was dong that late last night.
I relly have to work on reading those daily.
I work long hours and sometimes let the emails slack for a long time.
Will that help.
Hope so.

Hi, I'm behind in everything - including reading spark pages.

I don't think the content on your spark account would slow down your computer, because it is maintained on a server rather than your hard drive. Usually the culpret is programs that are running in the background on your computer. If you open Task Manager, it will show you everything that is running. Sometimes you use an internet application once and it installs a program on your computer that opens everytime you turn on the computer.

If you search the internet you will find articles that tell you how to make your computer run faster.

Meanwhile, deleting old stuff can't hurt!

Hope you're having a great week.

Bad day.Wish I could quit my job.Wish I could win the lottery, find a bag of money no one wants or needs or just.....................something.
I am so unhappy with work today I really don't know what do.I want to not go in and stay home tomorrow.
I am glad I had Bella to talk to.I did her feet, brushed her and had a nice talk.(she's not good on giving advice but she's an excellent listener)
Oh well! I guess we will see.
Have to keep smiling.
