Day 21

Sunday, February 02, 2014

Just a short blog to say I am still on track with day 21 of hour long Yoga.
My eating is still good EXCEPT or Friday at work.

I had 2 donuts and one soft pretzel (someone brought in) and I paid the price with chest hurting indigestion all night long and into the next day.
That proves that is so bad for us.

I was doing healthy salads and meals, almost no sweet treats of any kind all week.
So I have got to get a back bone and say NO THANK YOU when temptation waves it under my nose.

Here's to a new week and healthy eating and exercise.

    Hey there Donna! emoticon

Don't beat yourself up on a little donut and pretzel indiscretion. You are doing so very well! emoticon

I try and remember that it doesn't matter what you eat, as long as it is in moderation ... now THAT's a hard one for me, says I now, sitting here with a mammoth full belly after eating my steak, onions, potatoes, and mint peas. Whew! All very yummo, but definitely didn't fit in the moderation stakes today! emoticon

Happy week, girlfriend!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I realize not having will power. I think we all do, other wise we wouldn't be on this site. but chest hurting, I looked at those things, & I am not sure but check out if you have Celiac disease, that's you're allergic to wheat. see if this happens with certain cereals, bread, & sauces too. Don't buy gluten free cause it has too much salt, fat 7 sugar. you just need to switch away from wheat. I could be wrong. if you had pop with this , that could account for the chest hurting. Cause caffeine & flour & sugar gives you heart burn, or reflex. Hey, I guess that would keep you away from that. But I have those things happen to me when I eat splenda, it's like someone poisoned me & I start eating like I have a tap worm to feel. eva emoticon

Why is it that when we're cutting back or giving something up completely that someone else brings us just that!!

Someone brought two, read it TWO boxes of donuts to work today. I could eat all six donuts that are left but guess what. . . . . . I don't think I will. You will get there too and one part of a day doesn't ruin everything!

That is something I struggle with...resisting temptation, especially if it is sweet!

Sometimes it's so hard to say "no". But the upside is that when we say "yes" sometimes we pay the price for the indulgence. I.E. indigestion in you case. That makes for a nice reminder and helps us to avoid those temptations at least for a while, as long as the painful memory is still fresh.

For me, learning that it is okay to say "No Thank You" to the sharer of the treat has been a great deal harder than saying no thank you to the treat. I have been practicing my making 'healthier for me' choices and it is getting easier every time I make a healthier choice.
It will get easier for you too..
On your own you are doing GREAT !!

Wonderful that you have been doing 1 hr of yoga a day. That is WOW!

Yes, we do not want to offend others, do we? We need to find a way of truly appreciating the person's gesture and still stating no thank you.

Keeping track

Monday, January 20, 2014

Hi,
Before I get myself so confused I am up to date with Yoga.
Thurs was day 4....1 hour of Yin Yoga
Friday was day 5...1 hour of Detox yoga
Saturday was day 6...1 hour of Vitality yoga
Sunday was day 7... 1 hour of mountain pose

Plus we have been eating better and walking and moving more.

Now I have to repeat these exercises for 4 more weeks before moving on to the next series of exercises. (which is where I usually get frustrated and give up)
BUT>>> not this time.

On the other: SPECIFICS! please! We want to know exactly what you mean with eating and exercise, like what you stated with your yoga.

88% of people on the street surveyed stated they eat healthy. These are the same 88% added to the people overweight, feeling poorly, and having an early death.

I want to thank everyone for all the Support and love I felt from everyone.
My Sister in law and her girls did so well yesterday and I was proud of them. They loved my brother very much and I know he loved them dearly.

My brother passed away at home Wednesday night. My sister-in-law called me and told me he went peacfully. (They had nurses in so he could be at home)
Thank you so much for the prayers I believe that helps so much.

I did do Yin Yoga for an hour yesterday. I have to keep going.

    On Wings of Prayer

In valleys of despair we search around
only to realize that we found
His Spirit flows everywhere
on the wings of a prayer.

As our words take on flight,
they flutter above to Heaven's delight.
As our praise is sent above,
joy returns on wings of love.

Wings of prayer lift any cares.
They let our soul soar to new heights
and our vision takes on a new sight.
Our spirit becomes more aware
on the wings of a prayer.

Wings of prayer bridge pain to happiness again.
It removes seeds of fear and sorrow.
It reminds us that His will is NOT in vain
and there is a brighter tomorrow.

Wings of prayer spring forth into fountains of peace.
They are carried by wind and bring forth increase.
Refreshed and renewed with God's Word we stand.
Wings of prayer supply healing for our land!
