Did you know that people that are selfish don't say, I am going to be a nicer person.
Or that people who are users don't say, I am going to be kinder. But as far as being a better good person, only you know where you stand on that. I think you are already pretty nice, & kind. We all need to be better. take care, and here's to a better year for all of us. Good blog. eva emoticon

You seem like you are definitely on the right track. basically 3x's 1/2 hour or 45 minutes is what the body needs to function & stay flexible. I knew a women that walked 5 miles a day, at 87. I read about what this amount of exercising does, and here is what it said. That is possibly extends your life by 5 years. because it put extra oxygen into your body. eva emoticon

Got the job

Saturday, November 16, 2013

I did get the school bus driver job. At first they wanted me to learn different runs and I started training that Monday, the 4th and then one girl got an opening near home (same company) and I had to learn her run. So now I have my own. It is better since I am new to the Hamburg, Pa area.
They did say that they still might train me on other runs of people who miss a lot of time.
I am hoping not too soon.
It is a nice company and everyone seems nice and I love that I go home between runs and just have to focus on my one job.
When I was supervisor at my other bus driver/limo job I had to stay 10 hours a day M-F plus always be on call.
I am so loving not having to be responsible for others and some acted like spoiled kids themselves.
So, we will see how this goes. I am happy to just be accountable for me. :)
Thank you all for your encouragement.
Love you all.

Awesome CONTRATULATIONS - I agree, it is much easier just to be accountable to ourselves and not work long hours and be on call 24/7. Sounds like my last career choice which I have since resigned from! LOL Good for you!

Good for you! When did you move to the new area? DH and I have sold our house that we have lived in since we married, and are moving to our property in DeLeon. We have to be out the 10th of January so will live in our RV a while until our house out there is finished. Since we are doing almost all the work ourselves, it may take a while. So glad that you only have to answer for YOUR actions, and no one else's! emoticon

Job interview

Monday, October 28, 2013

Last week I called and asked if they were hiring sckool bus drivers. I went an put in my application and they called me Friday to come back in today and talk to someone.

I started out as a driver in my old place and then moved up to manager/supervior and all around do it all.
That is where I became so stressed out.
I tried to quit my job the last 2 summers and finally we just moved here (74 miles) away because I had to get out of there.

I loved being home this past month after moving but I have got to get to work. (the money thing, you know)

I really hope the children have more respect than the ones where I came from.
I only have 2 years and then I can go into early retirement if I want to. (hopefully)

Anyway, I will see what happens this morning.

A bit of an update

Monday, October 14, 2013

We have been moved as of Oct 1st (officially) and I am stil trying to get organized. We have gone from a lot of closet space, etc to 1 actual closet.

We have storage in weird places though, like a loft area in a little (summer kitchen type building with a loft upstairs) and it is quite old but nice and usuable. It is just trying to get organized that is slowing me down.

I am going to have to look for a job, perferably part time, since I wont be working at the one I thought I was going to. Politics. My husband will be doing some things there but they said 3 people from the same family is not a good idea.
In a way it is a good thing. I just have to have Faith that it is meant to be.

I was going to start looking today, but I did windows and curtains and we got some more hay for the horses.

It was a long day and I still have a few things to do.

Keep your fingers crossed for us.
Keep smiling.

October 1st

Tuesday, October 01, 2013

We are in our new place,(actually an older house) with Bella and dog and 2 cats.

We still have a lot to do because it is an older house, but we like it.
We were supposed to start our new job today but we have to wait till next Monday which gives us a little more time to get organized.

Tomorrow is my 60th birthday and it was a big move for someone our age (as we really don't know anyone at all just our son who is 50 inutes away.
We only have 1 neighbor and she came down and introducrd herself and her children and told of er pets and even made us brownies.

We are going today to look at some mini horses and mini donkeys to hopefully get one companion for Bella. (We hope we can afford it) We will try our best.

I lost a bit of belly fat with the move, walking and carrying boxes and barely eating so I am going to start October on a good foot forward and exercise and eat healthy.
Plus, i am going to do my best to get things in order and get rid of stuff that is taking up space.

Hope we all do good this month.
Love you all!

emoticon and lets keep smiling! emoticon
