We are in our new place,(actually an older house) with Bella and dog and 2 cats.
We still have a lot to do because it is an older house, but we like it.
We were supposed to start our new job today but we have to wait till next Monday which gives us a little more time to get organized.
Tomorrow is my 60th birthday and it was a big move for someone our age (as we really don't know anyone at all just our son who is 50 inutes away.
We only have 1 neighbor and she came down and introducrd herself and her children and told of er pets and even made us brownies.
We are going today to look at some mini horses and mini donkeys to hopefully get one companion for Bella. (We hope we can afford it) We will try our best.
I lost a bit of belly fat with the move, walking and carrying boxes and barely eating so I am going to start October on a good foot forward and exercise and eat healthy.
Plus, i am going to do my best to get things in order and get rid of stuff that is taking up space.
We are planning to move by the end of the month. We are moving nearly 100 miles away and now that we found a house (still renting) I am nervous.
We spent yesterday putting up post for a gate and posts for a fence for Bella.
I am grateful we found a place that will let us have our Bella right there with us. A lot of work.
We planned on moving closer to my son and to where we will beworking but we couldn't find anything we could afford there or liked so we are about an hour away. BUT that's by ggogle map. I sure we can find a shorter way once we get there, I hope.
The main thing is 8 days til I am done with my present job. All this week(5 days) and 3 days next week.(Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
I had given my notice a year ago August and I tried this August, too.
The only way I am getting out of there is by moving away.
I can only hope that God is leading us in the right direction.
I just get so lazy with exercising. It is not that I don't do anything because I do, it's just that I have got to push myself and get motivated and get my butt in gear.
I am up another pound or so.
I am active, last Friday I helped unload 5 truckloads of hay and put them in a big trailer, plus we are getting our wood started for the winter and Monday we did 2 carts full in this muggy weather our clothes were wet like we took a shower in them) and Guess what, still hanging on to pounds. Oh well, just have to do better.
On the lighter side:
I stopped at a fast food restaurant recently. I was fascinated by a sign which offered fat free French fries.
I decided to give them a try. I was dismayed when the clerk pulled a basket of fries from the fryer which were dripping with fat.
I said,"These aren't fat free ."
"Yes they are, he said. We only charge you for the potatoes. The fat is free!"
