As i went to start my video for the bootcamp today my husband decided to work out on our workout machine in the same room. I have to say that part of me wanted him to leave the room. I really struggle with constant cardio because I have asthma and cant always go too fast, oh and I am not always too coordinated. I thought for sure he would say something, we tend to be a little sarcastic. So of course he did and I felt kinda embarrassed because I was struggling to do part of it. I was really mad at him but then I realized its my insecurities causing my hurt and how would he know unless I tell him how I feel. I quit doing the video, I told myself that I will do it later. Am I the only one who feels this way? I definitely need to work on this.

For the record, I did tell him how I feel and he apologized so thats good. Now if I could only fix my insecurities we'll be good.

I'm the same way. I think its natural for us to feel a little embarressed or shy around the people we are trying to impress (AKA our boys :-). Working out is also our alone time, so I'm sure alot of it is that you just want to workout and be able to make funny faces and noise without having to worry about being pretty doing it. When I have to work out around mine, I just tell him that I would love a few minutes to work out and I always add that I'm doing it to look hot for him. He's been great about it since I've approached it that way. Good luck sweetie~

You know I have severe asthma, I take 3 inhalers every morning and night. Before I work out I take my inhaler and practice my breathing. Breathing exercises helps out alot!! Do as much cardio as you can a day. I noticed losing weight does help out with my breathing. Let me know if you want any other tips, I have alot. Good luck! emoticon

Too early to start

Tuesday, January 12, 2010

I woke up this morning at 4:00 am and knew there was no way i was going back to sleep. I mean whats the point? I have to wake up at 5 to exercise so unless i can fall back to sleep quickly Im not trying. I know this may be a normal time for some but not me. It actually ended up being a good thing because I was able to get some cardio time in and some leg exercises. Now I just have to do my bootcamp for the day and I will be done.

If it makes you feel any better, I fell asleep at 1230 and woke up at 330am wide awake. Seriously?! WHY WHY WHY?! Wish we could turn our brains off sometimes.. Maybe we'll both sleep well tonight? Good luck :-p emoticon

Not a bad start!

Monday, January 11, 2010

Well after my slacker weekend I told myself I would do good this week and so I woke up this morning with no drive but promised myself I would do a little something. As I hemmed and hawed I started to run out of time. Finally I got off my butt and accomplished way more than I planned. I did the treadmill, the bootcamp video and worked my arms. Not a bad start for the week huh?

An unproductive weekend

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Though I did great on Friday with exercise I did not follow throught this weekend. I have been tired and I started my peroid and so Im cramoy and have had no motivation to do anything. How can I push through this? And on top of that I think Im getting sick again. I have to do better this week.

I know how hard it is to motivate on the weekend -- is there an activity you really like or something you can schedule? I make appointments with my trainer for Saturdays so that I get something done. She couldn't meet this weekend so I have been a sloth....
