Changing WorkOuts

Saturday, June 23, 2012

Met with my trainer and got a new workout plan designed. The new plan actually alternates days, so that I'm doing upper body one day, lower body the next, with some core exercises every day. Each workout actually has two complimentary exercises for each set. For Example I will do Leg Press Machine then go to Wall Squats rest do that set again. It's definitely more intense but I'm feeling good about it. Still doing cardio on my non strength days and hoping now to do a 10K by the end of the summer.

Doing Something Right

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Decided to see how I'm progressing, so had the gym redo my measurements yesterday. I was happy. In two weeks Dropped some pounds and .7% of Body Fat (Down to 18.1). The Neck, Chest, Waist and Hips have hall gone down (Waist and hips down 1 1/2 inches each woohoo) While the Shoulders, Biceps, Thigh and Calf have started to develop a little bit. Tells me I'm doing something right even if I'm not following a "plan".

Vacation Day = Vacation from Diet

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Yesterday was not my best day for nutrition. Being out on a bus trip I realized ouch gotta plan ahead. First off it was a Hardee's Stop for Breakfast... ok not too bad a 210 calorie Breakfast Wrap.. I can live with that. Lunch on a luncheon cruise.. ok maybe not the best foods, but I kept small portions... Till the dessert came out, ok a small scoop of Chocolate Mouse and small square of Raspberry Cheesecake, I've been good for a month yeah I ate it. But then Supper stop was... McDonalds.... again a month nothing I got a small fry and a small order of spicy mcBites.

Ok I splurged a bit yesterday... do I feel bad? Only slightly, not so much because of the eating but because the last few days have been too busy to hit the gym. I think I still showed a lot of control. Use to be it would be a Full meal for breakfast, HUGE portions for lunch and Jumbo size for Micky D's (with a Soda which i've been free of for over a month). So Moderation is my new key :)

5k Under 45 minutes

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Well after a stressful Monday at work, I went to the gym and did my complete program, even tho I had already walked over 12 miles that day. So Tuesday I really felt like working out, but didn't want to do the complete program, instead I just did cardio on the treadmill. Still had a little stress built up so I just started running, before I knew it I had completed a 5k in under 45 minutes. It WAS great!!!! Legs are feeling it a little bit today (Wed) but not too bad. So New goal beat 40 minutes!

Slow Blogging But Still Working

Saturday, June 09, 2012

OK I know I haven't been very good about blogging everyday, but I'm still sticking to my diet and fitness plan. Been working out at the gym for 2 weeks now and LOVE it. Today also marks 1 month that I have gone without a soda! So proud of myself and all the encouragement I've recieved from Spark Friends.
