Well, don't feel bad. I have been going to the GYM on a constant, but I have not gotten any results, but I will not stop! I will continue to press on. emoticon I can tell the difference in my body form, but the weight is fluctuating back and forth at the point. I don't know if I'm retaining water or if my body is just preparing to adjust to weight loss. I say keep on, you will do fine. emoticon

Let me start by wishing you a HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!!

I know it's frustrating at times, I had a great week of exercising and measuring and weighing all my food...tracked it all....and I'm up 2 lbs emoticon I think for me it might be hormone changes (I'm 48)...I've been thinking about having my thyroid checked because I get so frustrated doing everything right and the stupid scale not working with me emoticon I hope you find whats behind your weight loss stall...Hang in there, even with no weight loss, you're still living a healthy lifestyle. emoticon

Hello Sparkies!

Itís been over 30 days since I attempted to get back on track with my diet and workouts more consistently. I feel like I have made a lot of changes but not enough to see the scale move.. At all! I think thatís ridiculous. It makes me kinda sad really. This month I had a wedding to go to and several baby showers so all of these events made it a bit difficult to stay on my diet and even on my workouts at times.

Iíve heard a lot of great suggestions from some of you on how I can get back on track. One of them included doing the sparkcoach. Which I think is a great idea, itís relatively affordable. Another option I had was doing crossfit which is something I was supposed to start at the beginning of this month but to make a long story short it never happened.

I rescheduled my self-assessment for crossfit and I had it yesterday. I didnít do as well as I had hoped but I also think I didnít do too bad. I mean I work out 5x a week so doing any worst would have just been embarrassing. The self-assessment included going over 6 of 9 movements thatís basically the foundation of many of the moves for crossfit and in one part of it they basically had me do a serious of 3 moves consecutively 4 times (10 sets for each exercise). I did it in 13 minutes and some change. The crossfit moves are so different than how I am use to working out and I realize really quickly that I would have to use a lot less weights than I do now, they seem to care a lot about getting in all the reps which includes doing up to 150 squats in a certain amount of time.

I donít know if I am explaining myself right when talking about crossfit but I donít know the terminology yet but you guys get the idea. Either way I am going to see if I sign up for it at the end of this week or next week. Iíll get this started and see if the change in workout helps me to start losing weight.

Thank you Joanna for all your advice, you definitely helped me through this past weekendís baby shower. I think I will be texting you once again when I go to my next one. I have an in office baby shower next Wednesday and a birthday celebration that weekend AND then is my birthday emoticon

What is my problem???

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

I went to this baby shower on Sunday and I didnít do too well. I had too many desserts, plus 2 servings of cake, I exercise no portion control. I feel pretty bad that I could not control myself after i promoise myself i wold not have any cake and only have the food, that wasn't that healthy to begin with. Clearly social situations are a problem for me, at home I do well, during the week I do well as long as I donít go out to a restaurant or I am exposed to foods I donít normally eat. This is a problem and I need to do something about it emoticon . Any suggestions? This month I am also attending two more baby showers and a weeding in 10 days and I MUST do well. I mean I work soo hard to lose so little I cannot afford to be laly gaging like this.

I am doing well with my works outs. I have a routine going for strength training and cardio which motivates me to do better with my nutrition and staying on track. I work out 5 days a week. Yesterday I broke my all-time record and did a 2 min plank! Woot woot!! lol emoticon

Try to start looking at foods as if they are cheap and your too good for them. LOL laugh but I look at cakes sometimes and analyze them. Is the frosting good, I mean really good? Is the cake moist, fluffy, flavorful? Do they have something else I like to eat instead? Can I take myself out after to get frozen yogurt? Or yeah this is also wrong. Did I just see a little kid or even adult touch the food and lick their fingers and touch again? LIKE EWWWW.

I always go for cheese and crackers and olives and hummus first because there is so much more and it tastes great. Cake or any dessert I want to taste like a Top Chef in this case Baker made it. Get snoody with your food. Your body is a temple so you only place delicate, rich, beautiful, pieces of art in it (IE food)

No crossfit for me, to make a long story short the guy who I had an appointment for the self-assessment basically left me high and dry so I decide not to go through with doing crossfit at this time. I think it worked out for the best because for the month of March I have a wedding to go to and 3 baby showers so I will be spending a lot of money. I plan on revisiting the whole ďcrossfitĒ situation in April and Iíll definitely make sure to do make myself assessment with someone else.

I feel like I finally got my diet somewhat on track, during the week I ate some cookies that someone brought in at work which made me realize that I need to start bringing in some health treats to work. Usually, people donít bring in anything in to work, no cookies, no chocolate no nothing but lately this has not been the case, there is always something that someone brought in so if this is going to continue I am going to need to bring something in so I can feel like I had something sweet and not be tempted to have the junk people are bringing in.

My date the other day went well, we ended up going for Chinese food =/ which in retrospect was not a good idea. But someone gave me some great advice like not letting the guy pick the restaurant which made me think omg that is so true, I should be the one picking the place who cares all that my date wants to do is spend time with meÖ I hope ;) lol.

I didn't workout on Thursday I had something to do and I normally don't workout on weekend but I have to make up for that day so I'll have to head to the gym today =)

YOU CAN DO IT! I ate 2 doughnuts for breakfast and I'm so not happy because in front for me right now are fresh grapes, carrots, and strawberries that I brought in from home. Yeah don't beat yourself up about cookies girlie. Oh and my job started a Big Loser contest to see who loses the most weight in % by May. Did you ever think to start something like that even though you won't win bc you are so small already it's motivation for people at your job and well less junk will be brought it. So I say set it up post it and tell everyone put $10 or $15 in and whoever wins in 2-3 months wins all the money!
