Ugh!! I can't stop eating

Monday, September 20, 2010

Okay, I feel like a cow today. I can't stop eating. I've been eating all day, and I'm not even hungry, but I keep eating. The only good thing about this is I'm not eating heavy foods. I've been eating craisens and pringles all day.

Why do I do this to myself?? But my mindset needs to be renewed.

Craisens and Pringles: I had to think about this and than it came to me.....sweet and salty..............I used to have chocolate and pepperoni pizza. Any way the point I would like to make is try to find something healthy to substitute for the sweet and salty cravings. Frozen grapes are good (sweet) and almonds (salty) OR a delicious apple with some crunchy peanut butter..............The apple and PB is my go to snack when I want something, but just don't know what. As far as I know we are all human, hence are not perfect..........let this be part of your past and start anew........whether it be today or tomorrow...........just let it go. Hope you have a better tomorrow.

Hey, we all have days like this. Try and identify "why" you're eating this way and what you're feeling. You can stop as soon as the next meal...or, if you insist on grazing, tomorrow is a new day. Forgive yourself and keep going! Keep moving forward and don't give up!

Yesterday was a rough day!!

Saturday, April 03, 2010

I had such a rough day yesterday. I ate everything I could get my hands on. I was full to the brim and still kept eating. I had been doing so well this last week, and just lost it all on yesterday.

How do I recover from yesterday? Do I just get back on the horse today and keep riding? What if I have another day like that? What do I do then?

I was already kind of bummed when I only lost 1.8lbs this week. Now I probably won't anything when I weigh in on Monday.

What to do next?? Big question for me.... I think I try a little harder today, that's what I will do!!

So you overate, now get back on the horse and start counting calories. What you need to do now is analize why you overate. Was it disappointment that you didn't lose weight this week, was it a emotional issue that you didn't have control over? Get a journal or a pad of paper and write down your feelings when you are feeling the urge to eat. If you aren'nt hungry then your eating to mask your feelings. Find out why and you can continue successfully on your weight-loss journey.

November is the month of Joy and Thanksgiving!!

Monday, November 02, 2009

Those who are in captivity learn to truly understand the value of freedom. When we have been captive to an abundance of flesh, we long for freedom from obesity. To be able to walk any distance without feeling exhausted, to be able to wear fashionable clothing, to look fit, to not be embarrassed; all these things attain a precious value when we don't have them. When we travel the road toward a healthy, normal body, we come to appreciate the gift of the human form that God intended us to have. We learn to be thankful for what we have been given, and when we live as God intended us to live, we come to possess a deep and abiding joy beyond words. God gave us life to enjoy to the fullest. When we allow our bodies to become unfit, we make it impossible to live life as fully as is possible. Our Lord offers us a second chance; a chance to renew ourselves and enter into a life of peace and joy. Let us be thankful that He loves us enough to help us find a truly fulfilling life.

May is the month of Faith

Saturday, May 02, 2009

Faith is the foundation on which we build all our dreams, plans and hopes. Nothing can be accomplished apart from faith. When we diet we need a deep and abiding faith in both ourselves and our Lord. If we fail to believe in ourselves, we might as well not even try to lose weight. Self-confidence and assurance are vital for success. When we find we have too much self-doubt, then we need to turn to the source of all faith; Jesus Christ, our Lord. Christ is the finest example of a faith-filled person we can find. Christ was able to face unbelievable trails because of the enormous faith He had in God. Through the gift of His Holy Spirit, we, too, can rely on the special faith. The faith of the Lord will never fail, nor will it decease. Believe in the power of the Almighty God, and He will raise you up so you cannot be defeated.
