Three Weeks Down -Transformation Trixie Results

Friday, April 15, 2011

Good news

I love Crossfit. I love yoga. I'm working on loving running.

In the last three weeks with paleo and the above, I've:

dropped a couple of pounds (nothing significant)

Lost 4 percent body fat
Lost 1.5 inch in waist
Lost 1.5 hips
.5 each thigh
.25 neck

And check this out: 8 pounds of body fat!

(and you know what they say about how hard it is for women to show change in weight or measurements)

I haven't done 100 percent paleo. My goal is to do it 80-90 percent and then the "cheat" will be things like oatmeal, grits, beans, etc, i.e. still real food.

I still would like to see examples of daily foods people doing paleo eat. Seems to be a shortage of good menus, or I"m not looking in right place.

In case anyone is reading this? See the value of not freaking over scale weight? See the value of exercise? See the value of eating a good diet?

The scale doesn't move a lot, but who cares if the inches do? I'm giving it a full speed ahead for the next 7 weeks, and we shall see where it takes me.

I, too, see what you see! I'm new to the Paleo way of eating, but I'm reading up on it and found lots of helpful websites. I am on day 15, but have lost 8lbs. More importantly though, I feel good inside and out, feel less stressed and at peace, and I sleep like a baby! BONUS!

Keep up your great work. I will follow you along, okay? I need the inspiration and you've surely SPARKED me with the inches lost, as well as body fat. I need help in that department...or so says the body fat scale. emoticon

Let's do this! emoticon

This Spartan Can't Sit

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

So, my Bootcamp guy is making us do a "spartan" workout. On Monday I was kinda, "this is too easy and we are done?" "Maybe I should have pushed harder?"

On Monday night I had my yoga class do a lot of lunging poses.

Guess who can't sit without wincing?

I AM SPARTA.

Three Month Wrapup

Friday, April 01, 2011

I'm up a bit from February because March was spent on vacation, preparing for vacation and not doing Crossfit/Bootcamp. I did do yoga and walking, lots and lots of walking.

Food was ok, but not great and I can tell I have to really hit it with CF to get the results I want.

After 1 week paleo/primal I am down two pounds and 1/2 inch in hips and thighs, nothing in waist or thighs. no matter, it was a measurement to see how things were. I checked the body fat calculator and the two pounds are fat, so far so good.

I'm on a "transformation trixie" 10 week eat right/do right/workout right and I'm excited to see the downward slide.

I gave my self some pretty tough goals to keep me focused, as I tend to wonder off.

Nailing Couch 2 5 K two weeks in two days? Awesome.

Tripping over a wet cockapoo and getting road rash? Priceless.
