The Lake

Thursday, March 10, 2011

The lake walk:
This is a half mile to the east of my apartment, this makes for the most beautiful walk.

The view is always spectacular.

Awesome medicine for calming my sometimes frazzled nerves.

getting there is easy.

getting up the hill to get home is a wonderful workout!

Amanda is coming

Friday, February 11, 2011

Amanda is my 28 yr daughter. I am use to having her close to me, and over the past two years, I have been a couple hours away. When she is close we have sleep-overs, movie nite, do lunch, shopping trips, adventures.... I have missed her being close so badly! We text all day long every day, but it is just not the same! We will go inland Saturday morning and pick her up and head off for a fun filled day of shopping! Then we will come back up over the mountain and have some mother daughter time here at the coast! Swimming at the community center, more shopping, maybe a comedian at the casino! I just cant hardly wait! I am ready to go get her now!

My sweet girl Amanda

Have a wonderful time with your daughter. I am so Thankful my daughter is still near-by. A few years ago, she and my son-in-law talked about moving 4 hours away and I wanted to cry!!

I hope this time with your daughter leaves you with some very special memories!

I totally relate to your situation, both my daughter went to college two and a half hours away. Then got jobs in the big cities for Ernst And Young Accounting Firm. One got her job with their Seattle Office and moved three and a half hours away. All of my hubbies family lives and we are in Eastern Washington. When my younger daughter graduated she applied there as well because her sister was making a lot of money and getting to travel all over. They hired her but said she would have to move and work out of the San Francisco office and she agreed. I was lost with her so far away and no family there, no friends either. She moved herself down there and drove all the way down with her car alone. She was there four years. Now she has transferred to Seattle and both are very close. The oldest was married and when she had her son is when the younger one moved up. Now the younger one is married and they are both talking more grand babies. Yeah me!!

OK I got a bit carried away here but I feel your pain and cherish every chance I get to spend time with them...

Enjoy every minute with your beautiful daughter!!

my first day at the CC

Friday, February 04, 2011

Who knew this could be so much fun! OMG... There were two dance classes going on when I got there, the hot tub was FULL and there were two swim classes going on so both pools were in use too! there was plenty of room for me though! I used the elliptical equipment for about 30 minutes, a NuStep something, it was kinda cool, then I did my C25K for about 50 minutes or so. Went into the weight room, where they were doing some circut training, so I just jumped on in between! I thought I would jump in the hot tub for a bit, but... the whole thing was quite crowded and I am still a little "shy" in my suit in front of half the population of my town! I still dont know many people, so its not like anyone knows me... I will work on courage over the weekend and maybe Monday I will slip in unnoticed =)

    So serene!! I love it!
Have you heard of Railroad park in medford?
Hobbyists work on steam trains and have a mini museum. In the spring and summer, you can ride the train in their little park. This is where I have been walking to lately. I can hardly wait until April when the Train starts ruuning. I am going to go over and ride it as a reward for the walk! emoticon

Your walk is so pretty and so serene.
