My dau and I had a wonderful (but VERY tiring) time today shopping: all 6 hours worth! : ) I'm bushed! LOL

Looking forward to the rest of this week with all my family. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Sunday night

My daughter and her family arrived safely this afternoon from Mississippi. They're here for a week's visit. YEA! My only granddaughter and her brother both enjoy Darby, and she them. That's good. Katie was pleased with the dress I made for her and the sweater I knitted. Although I think the dress is a bit long, her mother is pleased with the length.

Tomorrow my dau and I will go shopping alone!!!!! = )

We'll have a houseful (12 of us) on Thanksgiving Day, but it will be really nice to have everyone here.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to you all.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Guess my intentions haven't been backed up with COMMITMENT lately. My out-of-state dau and her family are to arrive tomorrow for the week; and while I'm excited, it DOES mean it will be harder to eat right and get exercise. I guess I've been practicing for (failure?) this past week or so.....haven't done well with either food or exercise. sigh. Time to get back on the I-love-me wagon and treat myself/my body like I really love me.

Sad this week: yesterday my oldest had to put her 17 yr old cat to sleep - Babs had developed cancer, and her quality of life was getting bad. I cried a little with my dau - I know exactly what she was feeling as I had to put my last cat to sleep over 2 yr ago.....he was 18 yr old. I'm allergic to cats now (developed after I'd had cats for years) so we're 'stuck' with the sweetest pit bull.

Pets are truly like members of the family and it's difficult when we have to say goodbye. Be strong and know that they appreciate the love and attention we offer them. -- Lou

Losing a pet is very hard. I can remember losing our beloved cocker several years ago and never desired to go through that again.

Have a great weekend!

I haven't utilized SP as much this week as I had been; and it shows. I've eaten too much of the wrong stuff, and this morning I weighed myself - oops! Re-gained a little.

Tomorrow is my 'official' weigh-in day, and am curious as to what it will show. I realize that this morning's weight COULD have been water weight, but I honestly think it was the extra sweets I ate. sigh.

I did my ST today - haven't all week until this afternoon. But I did it today, and I plan to do as I should next week.

Nothing spectacular, but chillin'

I'm not knocking myself out today, but do plan ST a little later. I walked outside for 50 minutes yesterday - great to be outside. With winter coming, I won't be able to walk outside much longer, but thank goodness for my treadmill. At least I won't be a winter-slug this year. And I'm making plans to curb my eating Thanksgiving week while family is visiting from out of town. Must remember portion control and intentional eating. : )

I'm working on a couple of cross stitchs - Pueblo Indian ones. They aren't big, and I plan to group them in my breakfast room.

Have a great day, all.

I love doing cross stitch! I haven't had much time for it lately since I got started making afghans for all of my grandchildren. They don't quit so I am always behind. Have a wonderful day.
