Yeah, I was lazy yesterday, but my walking friend and I walked 2 miles yesterday afternoon - so I wasn't a total slug for the whole day. : D

I need to make a b'day cake for my husband - the big test will be that I won't gobble up half the cake! He's supportive when I say things like, "I've lost.....pounds" - BUT I can't clear the houe of bad goodies and junk. Makes it a little harder for me, but I'm working on it. I've made one SP receipe so far, and he liked it. He knows what I'm making tomorrow (Lentil Loaf) and isn't too thrilled.

Hubby knows because he cooks week days and I cook weekends - and he's mostly in charge of the kitchen. I do, however, pick up some 'just healthy' stuff at the store, even if I'm the only one who will eat it.

I can only RARELY buy lo-fat this or that, even when I say "you won't know the difference when it's in a receipe". He claims lo-fat means NO TASTE.

Well, he's pleased with me that I'm losing weight, and I've let him know I have a box of clothes in the next size down from what I'm still in. So, I shouldn't have to buy a bunch until I get ANOTHER size down. emoticon

So it's Friday and I feel LAZY today. Good thing my walking partner (SHIRL70) and I have a walk scheduled for this afternoon. She keeps me accountable.

Maybe I'll wake up more in my shower. (yawn) Or maybe I'll just decide to give myself the day off - except for this afternoon's walk. Would that be so bad?

My, how time flies! And I swear it picks up speed the older I get!

I DID finish my housework yesterday, after procrastinating all week. I felt so much better mentally for DOING it.

I walked for 30 minutes (with the dog) after getting home from cleaning the kitten room at a no-kill shelter. I call that my weekly kitty-fix. I also call it great exercise because I do what I call heavy cleaning for 90 or so minutes! Yea!! Must be working - clothes fitting better, weight coming off.

Go to knitting group tonight, but am cross stitching because knitting takes too big a toll on tennis elbow. sigh. One of these days...

Mentally, I'm charged. Physically, I'm doing well. Now all I have to do is finish my housework - there's so little left to do, but I'm dragging my feet - I'd rather read. Guess I'll 'reward' myself with reading after I finish the cleaning. Then it won't be hanging over my head any more.

I'm looking forward to this afternoon's walk with my friend. We keep each other on track, making it much easier to get the exercise we need to.

It's fall here - highs barely in the 60's - but I LIKE fall.

Haven't been using sparkpeople entirely as I should the past couple of days; but I have to update today - I lost three lbs over the weekend, in spite of being out of town!!! Ok, now I have a broken arm from patting myself on the back. LOL

I also lost 1/2 inch in my waist. Now THAT's important. I just joined SparkPeople back on 9 Aug, but started losing weight in mid-July when we got home from a 5 week trip. I'd gained weight on that trip, and hadn't eaten properly. Well, I'm please to announce that since the middle of July, I've lost a total of 15 lbs. I've lost 10 of those lbs with the help of Spark People and all my new friends.

THAT's incentive to keep doing what's right and stop doing what's wrong.
