I did it! So far. I got up a little early (not all that early, folks) and did today's bootcamp workout then enjoyed myself on the treadmill for almost 50 min! I had a bowl of corn flakes b4 working out, then almonds afterwards; then when I met my friend for lunch, I had a garden salad with oil and vinegar. I even brought about 1/2 of it home (it was a huge salad) to share with hubby for dinner. Whoopie!

I'll be 'out of pocket' for awhile, but will sign onto SP if/when I can. Don't worry about me - I'm NOT giving up.

Thanks for all your good wishes. Let's make a pact to hang in there come thick or thin. Keep on keeping on.

I did today' bootcamp workout before lunch, and just got off the treadmill after spending 55 glorious minutes on it - I feel great! I finished reading a book I'd borrowed from my dau, and walked and walked and walked. I burned lots of calories, and pushed the edges of my breathing as I deliberately walked faster for two spurts.

Now, having said that, I may fall on my face tomorrow; but right not, I'm determined to not do that. I'm planning to get up early enuf to do the workout and some treadmill walking before joining a friend for lunch. Haven't seen her in weeks(!) and even tho' we've talked and emailed, there's nothing like a face-to-face visit. I'm already planning a healthy lunch.

Ouch! All this patting myself on the back isn't helpful to my arm. LOL For as often as I can write like this, I also spend times 'down' - having eaten poorly or not exercised. At least I'm still trying! I refuse to give up. I'm going to lose these excess pounds and gain a healthier me!

The good news is that I'm working on the bootcamp workouts....the less than good news is that I'm struggling with them. Worked my core one day and thought I was doing fine; until I awoke the next day and could hardly move! Well, all that struggling and such just mean that I need to continue doing what I can.

We'll be out of town awhile this month, so keeping up with everything won't be as easy. I won't have my balance ball emoticon BUT I do intend to take my dumbbells and the written instructions for exercises I can do while gone. Also, plan to use the motel exercise rooms! I'm hoping to lose another couple of lbs by the end of the month, and will let you know if I make that goal.

    Good job, Nancy! I have an awful time with the lower body ones because of a bad knee so I can sure relate. Hope you will have a lovely time on your trip!

Bootcamp, Day 3

And I haven't quit! I also spent 50 min get re-acquainted with a treadmill today. It had been over a month, and I knew to not overdo with incline and speed. I feel great. Today's bootcamp video was do-able, but I could feel it. That's a good thing. I doubt it would do much good if I didn't feel it.

I did the first day bootcamp video yesterday - well, sorta. I had to modify it a lot becuz it was a lot harder than it looked. Well, I can always keep doing it to build up what needs to be built up. LOL

I did today's video, and was able to complete it (barely). And that's after having I've been working on my quads for some months! BUT, I am making progress, becuz when I started several months ago, I could barely do 5 wall sits (with either lateral arm lifts or bicep curls) b4 my legs gave out.

I can now do about 12, then have to do something else before I do another 10 or 12 of the other. Soooo, hang in there, everyone. Don't get discouraged if you can't do everything 'just right' at first. If you keep up the good work, you WILL get stronger. This lil' ol' lady says so. emoticon emoticon

I almost forgot the best news (well, add'l GREAT news) - our new treadmill was delivered late this afternoon and it's already for use. Hip, Hip, Hurray! I've missed the exercise.

    Hoo boy, I did the videos but had to modify them to get them done! My right knee does NOT like lunges or squats. So glad to hear your new treadmill has arrived and is ready to go!! It's been a little nippy for walking outside the last few days here in west central Indiana!
