Although I still have remnants of the cold, I'm refusing to lie down and play dead. I'm not going overboard with exercise either. : )
It's cold today - not above 24 or so, and STRONG winds with even stronger gusts. I don't think I want to know the wind chill. Went to church this morning and to a grandson's basketball game this afternoon. Now that the sun is down, it feels even colder!
Ok, enuf whining.
I'm alive, in fairly good health, and every so grateful to SP and all you all out there. I'm excited about the bootcamp we've started today. I hope it will help me lose even more lbs. I did manage to lose one of the 2 lbs I'd gained the previous week, so I feel good about that.
Some months ago I got rid of all the size 14's that I'd been saving "just in case a miracle happens and I get small again". I kept the 16's, which is a good thing, because that's where I am now.....I'm no longer an 18!!! When I get too skinny for 16's I'm goin' shoppin'! : D
Y'all keep sparking and stay warm.

I didn't wait until today to work on a healthier me, but since many people do wait until NY's Day, let's challenge each other to do our best to be healthier this year. Leaving that which is behind (bad habits, multiple slip-ups), let's press forward towards living better.

God has been most gracious to me - I am still sick with a cold, but it's not severe. I've been taking store brands of Cold Eze and DayQuill, along with aspirin if needed; as well as drinking, drinking, drinking. Also had chicken noodle soup - Campbell's Healthy Request style. I'm eager to be OVER IT already! I'm not a good patient.
Still waiting for word when our new treadmill will be delivered - probably not until next week, I think. 'S ok since I don't like to work out when I have respiratory problems. BUT! I'm getting antsy because I want to resume treadmilling!
Darby (our pit bull) pulled up a rose bush the other day. Bob re-planted it and she not only pulled it up again today, but apparently ATE IT, too! Bob couldn't find it today, and Darby does like chewing on wood. sigh. Guess we'll be getting another rose bush next spring. LOL
There was a newspaper article this morning about a female pit bull that was found dead just off a hiking trail (about 15 mi from us). She was wrapped in a blue vest which obviously had been used to carry her there. The poor doggie was sans a collar, but obviously well-taken care of - until lately. The newspaper was speculating that she had been snatched and used as bait for dog fighting as all her (many) injuries were consistent with fighting. Grrr! I'd like to get my hands on whoever did that! Our Darby is a pit bull, and you couldn't find a more loveable dog anywhere.
Have a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve tomorrow, y'all.

I caught my husband's cold - he's about all over his, I'm just getting really started on mine! I'm taking aspirin for the miseries and headache, store-brand cold eze (which does help me), and striving to drink, drink, drink liquids. Also, I spent a lot of yesterday asleep.
I think I will try to do a teeny bit of housework before my shower today - the former to make me feel better mentally, and the latter to refresh my flagging physical self. I won't do too much housework - no worries there!
Good news: no plans for the rest of this week until Thursday when we are supposed to go to the animal shelter (and take our grandsons again) to work awhile. The good news for me: Tyle was helpful last week, and there are only about six kittens in the room I'm responsible for cleaning - all of which will mean less time to do the work.
Time to either get started, or go back to bed.
