you look amazing ans an inspiration to us all!!

I have another 10 lbs to go before i reach a personal goal an another 20 before i am officially in the category as healthy weight (5"6 and sitting at 157lbs right now)

It can be frustrating I hit a plateau at 160 but finally kicked it!! Gonna step up the workouts this week and am signing up for gym membership so I can work out during the fall and winter!! My ambition is to run in the Sparten/Tough Mudder race in the Summer!!

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see your journey

Love and Light xx

I ready your story today, and it was just what I needed to hear! I started out at 275, and I am down to 226 - one lb away from 50 lost. But while resetting my goals for my next segment, I realized I won't be to a 'healthy' weight until 140 - and that just seems impossible from here! But seeing what great success you had gives me hope! Not that I would ever quit, being lighter and exercising regularly and eating right all makes me feel better than I ever thought I could. I was just like you, not even trying to lose weight, having fooled myself into thinking I was fine at that size.

Good luck in your continued journey, and thanks for taking the time to motivate those who are still on the long road to success!

I went back through some of my blogs and saw the one about the LBD. I am really taking my time to get into that LBD. I can't believe it has been two years since I bought that dress. I had to laugh. Goals have to be set by what your heart desires. When you make them unrealistic or you heart really isn't in it, it's almost impossible to achieve them. I'll still get into that dress..... maybe with in the next ten years, but I have decided from now on that the goals I will make for myself must be realistic and my true hearts desire. If you're reading this blog I hope you are having a laugh with me and that you continue to find success on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.

You are so right. The goals set have to be achieved and there has to be a very strong desire to do so. emoticon

    I am S-O with you.

I have a bunch of shirts, some medium, some large, that I aspire to get into. Your point about our heart's desire is right on.

And I had a good laugh.

Great point--making a goal because of some perception, without it truly being your heart's desire, won't go anywhere!

I never realized how important the blogs were until I wrote one and I had so many comments on it. It let me know that I definitely was snot alone in this endeavor. Things like that help to keep you focused on your goal. I am still not blogging every day, in fact I had never done a blog until I joined Spark People. Keep up the good work. emoticon emoticon emoticon

My Two Year Spark Birthday.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

I can't believe it's been two years since I started this account with Sparks and three years living a healthy lifestyle. I am still not at my goal, but I am close. Sparks keeps me motivated. I also love all the Healthy Reflections emails I get from this web site. They are inspiring. I haven't been good with keeping up to date on my food intake or work outs on here, but I will try. Because, I also have a book I use by Go Fit to keep track of what I eat and my work outs. So even though it's not on here doesn't mean that I am not keeping track. I have a slow internet connection and no patience to enter all my stuff. Anyway, Happy Spark Birthday to me. emoticon
