Just last week I struggling to finally get my schedule to work with my 5K training and trying my best to get Week 4 done. Now, this week, I'm on the ball and have my last day of training on Wednesday... and this afternoon, after all my kiddos went home, I registered for my very first 5K! I can't believe I am finally doing one. I am so excited and scared at the same time, but so proud of myself for at least siging up!

I FINALLY finished Week 4 of the Running program! Now, all I have left is the last week. It's hard to believe that a few months ago I began the walk/run 5K trainging... back then I couldn't even catch my breath for the 30 second running intervals. And today, there were so many things I noticed about how far I've come.
1. I didn't even look at my watch because I knew my pace... a few weeks ago, I was glued to that thing ready for it to me when I could quit!
2. My breath no longer sounds like a fire breathing dragon gasping for air.
3. I LOVE RUNNING!
So, here's to finishing all this training strong!

Sooooo, I didn't work out today... I went to Dick's instead where my sweetie pie husband bought me new workout clothes. How ironic is that?! HAHA! Tomorrow is a running day, though, and I am excited about it! Maybe it's the clothes, or maybe it's the fact that I'm so flippin' proud of myself for coming this far and being able to RUN and ENJOY it! Either way, I'm looking forward to it!

It's been about a week since I last checked in. Crazy weather, family reunions, work, work, and more work have gotten me a bit behind... BUT I am happy to say I'm not too far behind when it comes to my workout routine. My 5K Your Way got backed up a little and I finally got to complete Week 4 Day 2 today! Geez! I should have done it about a week ago! I'm so glad that I did at least do some indoor exercise and some strength training and some running around with the kiddies on the playground. So I tried to stay active while not on my regular routine.
I am so proud of myself forsticking to my guns this weekend while at a family reunion. Good ol' southern cooking EVERYWHERE!!! I kept the fried stuff to a minimum and kept my portions in check and did not gain one pound! WOOT!
So now, this week, my goal is to get back to my regular routine and not give any excuses.

All I got to say is today I started Week 4 of the 5K Your Way and........ I DID IT!!!!!!! I RAN THREE MILES WITHOUT STOPPING! Never in a million years would I have thought I could run three miles nonstop. Heck, I wouldn't even want to run ONE mile nonstop! Shout out to my friend MELOSPARKLE who's tackling Week 4 this week, too! WE ARE DOING THIS!!
