Going strong

Sunday, March 27, 2011

Well over a week in, and things are looking good. I went to Diabetes America and now count carbs as well as taking insulin at every meal. But my Blood sugars are good now and I lost 2 lbs. this week. Looks like taking my head out of the sand is working!

Back on the wagon

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Well, I am trying to get my head out of the.... sand.... and get back on managing this diabetes and my weight. I want to plan my meals, get my fasting blood sugar under 110, and my weight down to 200 lbs. Deep breath and here we go... again.

Nutrition Monitor

Wednesday, July 01, 2009

Wow - I thought I was doing so well with my eating, but even though the calories were down my Sodium was way too high. I'm loving all the data the Spark Nutrition Log gives! My Blood Sugar was a bit too high this morning, but less than yesterday.

Last day of June 2009

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Well, I have not used this site as much as I hoped I would over the last year. But, here I am picking myself up and starting again! The good news is that I am working with a Trainer that really seems to help! He has asked me to send him a daily food log - and that awareness builder is making a world of difference. So let's see what July brings - I want to lose weight and more importantly keep my blood sugar in a healty range. So here we go.....

The Sp tracker is a GREAT tool. Some days I don't want to do it, but it really helps to keep us in check and that is the name of the game...to control what we eat. Hope you have good success this time! emoticon

It's a GREAT idea to have a personal trainer! And he wants a FOOD LOG? Great - just use SP's tracker! :)

Good luck - you can do this. Just stay focused!

Cheers,
Maya
