Well, I thought it was gonna be a perfect weekend and then it went to h. e. double hockey sticks! :(
Sunday night Pooh started coughing up blood, so we called Moffitt and they said for him to come in first thing in the morning. So naturally we got very little sleep. Spent the whole day there yesterday while they ran tests and did scans of his lungs. Thankfully it appears that the cancer has not spread there (as we feared)! Although his platelets have dropped from 52,000 to 46,000. They think that all the coughing busted some veins in his esophagus or throat and caused the bleeding. They gave him platelets and some magnesium that he needed, along with some breathing treatments to open up his lungs. They kept him overnight to monitor him and make sure that there was no more bleeding. Hopefully, he did ok through the night. I will find out shortly. I am to pick him up some time today.
To make matters worse, babygirl #2 called (ya'll don't here as much about her because she lives in Georgia and we don't see her often, but she is the one we went to Disney with the first time) and she and her husband are already getting divorced! :( Apparently, they had some sort of big blowout yesterday. Now, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop! Mama always said that trouble comes in threes!
I am heading off to work until I get the call from Pooh that they are releasing him. I hope that you will all keep him, BG #2 and me in your prayers. Even though I know that the Lord only gives me what he knows I can handle.
Have a great Tuesday and keep on sparking my lovely sparklies!
So, I just wanted to thank ya'll for your well wishes and prayers and update you on Pooh. He is staying one more night, again for observation. He is doing alright and said he had a good night. He told me today that they have put him on some steroids and do not want to discharge him home just yet. I was a little distracted at work and in Algebra class, but otherwise had a pretty good day.
Piglet and I had to eat out tonight as the power went out about 4pm and just came back on a few minutes ago.
