Now who was a little piggy!

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Ok, so now I must confess what a piggy I was today! :( I had very good intentions at the start, but they went nowhere! I am feeling a little guilty, but not a lot guilty because I had such a good day that it is hard to beat myself up in this good a mood! I still feel I should confess though. I had three pieces of Hungry Howie's pepperoni pizza for lunch and then came home and had Long John Silver's fish, fries and slaw for dinner with Pooh! There! Now I have confessed. I feel better and promise (myself) that I will do better resisting junk food!

I love the pictures in your blogs. And about your food-we have all done that. It's okay sometimes. Back on track tomorrow. (I had bacon and eggs this morning--out for breakfast with my hubby which we rarely do).

We have Hungry Howie's here, and with their garlic crust, I understand. Tomorrow, I plan to blow it with Jets, 8 corner pizza, also with garlic crust. This was my hubbies father's day dinner request. It's been so long since we had it that I am not even going to pretend to try and resist. However, I will try very hard not to scarfe down too much. However, you see the name of my spark page: "Queen of Best Intentions". So, we'll see. I convinced him that we shouldn't also get the triple cheese turbo bread sticks, though he did admit that we don't need them. Have a great night.

MMmmmm....Long John Silvers....I haven't had that in months...... emoticon
That's one of those things that I get a real hankering for, and then after I eat it I regret it!

Where do you get these pictures?! Oh, I love them. They are perfect.

So should week 6 be renamed weak 6? We all know what we should be eating, but somehow we manage to undermine ourselves somehow? I'm not saying I went totally crazy, but with a husband who loves to eat at night, well let's just say I can't resist joining him. Totally blows my goal of not eating after dinner out of the water! My mantra has become "remember why you are here."

I'm glad you had a great day! Food wise, I think it's good to recognize what wasn't ideal and learn from it. Tomorrow is a new opportunity! :)

Now you are just making me jealous. I miss Long John Silver's. I ate a whole bag of pistachios the other day.

Hey you have to be commended for putting it out there. emoticon
That is a positive! No one promised that we would never have those days. They will come and go. The important thing is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on! We succeed when we don't let those things derail us from our journey!!

Thanks my friend! And yes... I always track. Even on days like today! It was almost 2,000 for the day!

You've got the right attitude. Don't feel defeated, don't beat yourself up, just try to learn from your mistake and move forward.

Did you track your food? In the end, it may not be as bad as you think. Besides, who can resist something with a fun name like Hungry Howie? emoticon

A little loss is better than no loss!

Saturday, June 16, 2012

I am very happy this morning with my one pound loss! :) That makes seven pounds total lost so far since 5/11! Those of you who have peeked at my nutrition tracker will see that I was not really good this week as far as eating goes. We had Chinese food last night (Pooh had a craving) and I had a few goodies here and there during the week! :0 Always happens when Aunt Lucy's visit is near. :( I was a little nervous this morning because my hands are a little swollen (could be aunt Lucy or the msg in the food last night) but swelling usually means water retention, which usually means weight gain! Probably would have lost two pounds if I had not splurged last night! But I will take the one pound loss and go on about my business! :) I hope that all my spark friends have done well this week tracking their nutrition and fitness! We all deserve to see those numbers continue to go down on our scales!

Heading out in a couple hours to swim with Baby girl #1 and Baby girl #3. :) II hope ya'll have a great Saturday!

emoticon For your weight loss! I lost 1/2 a pound this week. I'm just glad the numbers are going in the right direction! Chinese food has so much sodium (and fat) that unless I make it myself I don't eat it. Sodium is my nemesis!

Hope you have a great weekend!

    1 lb is emoticon!!!!

I always wake up puffy after Chinese food too. Been a long time since I've had it since I can't eat it in moderation. emoticon

I bought an ice cream cake for DD#2 birthday sleepover last night. I wasn't planning on having any but....oh, it looked so yummy! And it was good! emoticon

Remember the fable -- the tortoise ended up beating the hare. One pound gone is one pound you're not carrying around anymore!

I agree with Nichole - don't beat yourself up over some treats. It's not those once in a while splurges that made us gain the weight. It was making them a part of our everyday lives that did it. emoticon

Congrats on another pound lost! Enjoy your swim and your weekend. emoticon

When you eat salty food, drink a lot more water and if you add lemon to the water it helps to rid you of the salt which makes you retain the water. One pound is awesome, and don't beat yourself up over the treats, they don't make that much of a difference :)

Exactly the way i feel little changes mean a lot. If you lose slowly it will stay off better they say. Keep up the great work.

Spiders and snakes!! Yikes!

Friday, June 15, 2012

Just so ya'll know . . this morning did not start out great! Although it did get my heart rate up and my blood pumping! :( I truly dislike snakes, but I really HATE spiders!! So of course the first thing that tried to get me this morning was a giant spider! A nasty, ugly, huge wood spider! They have been coming in the house more and more because of all the recent rain! :0 But to top it off, I nearly fell off the back porch 2 seconds after my near miss with the spider due to the black snake that I didn't see until he was nearly right in my face! Enough was enough! After running for dear life, I grabbed the gym towel and shoes and ran out the front door! :)

The gym was awesome as usual! But I guess I will have to start referring to baby girl as my "Wednesday girl" as she seems totally incapable of getting up for the gym on Monday and Friday! lol :} Well, as most of ya'll know, Fridays are my short day at work, so I am really glad that it is Friday!!! :) I hope all my spark friends are planning a fabulous Friday and a activity filled weekend! Let's do this girls!!

OMG!!! I would have died. I am so terrified of snakes. I even see one on tv and start crying and getting nightmares-yeah I know I am such a sissy. I just think they are the most nasty ugly creatures on this planet and even thinking about them, makes me wanna climb on a chair or table. I don't care about spiders too much, but I am not panicking when I see one. Well, I guess you warmed up quite fast this morning. Hope you won't have any more encounters with ugly evil creatures this weekend. emoticon

What a way to start your day. Good grief. I'm glad your gym experience was positive. May the rest of your day be spider and snake free.

Ack! That experience would be challenging for most of us.

Because my brother had pet snakes when I was a child, I did learn that some snakes are actually nice. Just have to watch out for the ones that have venom. One of my good friends has a very sweet red boa, whom I have held. :D

Thankfully, I've never encountered a snake. And I can handle your basic spider, but when I see the ones with thick, hairy legs....AAAHHHHH!

But I teach preschool and I don't want my children developing fears, so when a spider - no matter how large - occasionally finds its way into our classroom, I have to play the mature, brave adult.
I scoop it up in a paper cup, calmly walk to the outside door, and deposit it in the grass right outside. And preach how "Spiders are our friends, they help kill other bugs." All the while, my skin is crawling! emoticon

So you certainly have my sympathies for the way your day started. Have a great weekend!
