"The greatness of God's love for us can never be measured or defined.
His love is beyond comprehension"
This is MY God.
He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all!
He is the Architect of the universe and
The Manager of all times.
He always was, He always is, and He always will be...
Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, and never Undone!
He was bruised and brought healing!
He was pierced and eased pain!
He was persecuted and brought freedom!
He was dead and brought life!
He is risen and brings power!
He reigns and brings Peace!
The world can't understand him,
The armies can't defeat Him,
The schools can't explain Him,
The leaders can't ignore Him.
Herod couldn't kill Him,
The Pharisees couldn't confuse Him, and
The people couldn't hold Him!
Nero couldn't crush Him,
Hitler couldn't silence Him,
The New Age can't replace Him, and
Donahue can't explain Him away!
He is light, love, longevity, and Lord.
He is goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God.
He is Holy, Righteous, mighty, powerful, and pure.
His ways are right,
His word is eternal,
His will is unchanging, and
His mind is on me.
He is my Redeemer,
He is my Savior,
He is my guide, and
He is my peace!
He is my Joy,
He is my comfort,
He is my Lord, and
He rules my life!
I serve Him because His bond is love,
His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life.
I follow Him because He is the wisdom of the wise,
The power of the powerful,
The ancient of days, the ruler of rulers,
The leader of leaders, the overseer of the overcomers, and
The sovereign Lord of all that was and is and is to come.
And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size.
His goal is a relationship with ME!
He will never leave me,
Never forsake me,
Never mislead me,
Never forget me,
Never overlook me, and
Ever cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
When I fall, He lifts me up!
When I fail, He forgives!
When I am weak, He is strong!
When I am lost, He is the way!
When I am afraid, He is my courage!
When I stumble, He steadies me!
When I am hurt, He heals me!
When I am broken, He mends me!
When I am blind, He leads me!
When I am hungry, He feeds me!
When I face trials, He is with me!
When I face persecution, He shields me!
When I face problems, He comforts me!
When I face loss, He provides for me!
When I face Death, He carries me Home!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere,
Every time, and every way.
He is God, He is faithful.
I am His, and He is mine!
My Father in heaven can whip the father of this world.
So, if you're wondering why I feel so secure, understand this...
He said it and that settles it.
God is in control, I am on His side, and
That means all is well with my soul.
Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is !
For the Christian Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.
"In prayer; expect setbacks, but refuse retreat." Richard Eastman
Do your best, Bring out the best in others.
Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great the Lord is!!

FOOTPRINTS...A New Version
Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.
But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns
For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently.
You and Jesus are walking as true friends!
This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.
Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.
This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change. The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.
Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.
This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand. A variable mess of prints.
You are amazed and shocked.
Your dream ends.
Now you pray:
"Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits. I was a new Christian; I was just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You."
"That is correct."
"And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely."
"Very good.. You have understood everything so far."
When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way."
"So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first."
There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.
"You didn't know? It was then that we danced!"
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4.

I cannot solve your problems for you but if you ask for my help I will do my best to not lead you astray.
I cannot make you lose the weight, but I can encourage you to keep on keeping on.
I cannot tell you what is right or what is wrong, but I can pray you will make the right decision.
I cannot tell you what your future will hold for you, but I can tell you with certainty that a better life awaits those who have faith.
I cannot make you a happy person, but I can cry with you.
I may not have much to offer you for I do not possess wealth, but I can offer you my absolute friendship.
I cannot make you like me, but it doesn't matter, I love you anyways and I will be here when you need me.
With big hugs~Dusty

I wrote something similar to this while thinking of one of the teams that Iím involved in, and thought that maybe there are others out there who are also suffering from ďnot forgiving themselves for eating foods that they consider ďbadĒ. For those of you who are Christians, this will be easy to understand, but just in case youíre reading this, and you donít understand the concept of forgiveness, I have given the following illustration. Bear with me, itís not a sermon and itís not about religion, itís about all of us and how we deal with forgiving our selves!
Just a quick little piece on forgiveness; Jesus was a perfect example of forgiveness. When He forgave us our sin, it was past, present and future. The only catch was, that we confess our sin, and donít do it anymore. (thereís way more on religion, but I just want to use the forgiveness part for an object lesson) We have to forgive ourselves from everything we do wrong in our dieting.
If we are sincere, in forgiving ourselves, we can move on. It is very unhealthy to live in our past sins. This means, itís unhealthy to keep looking back at that cake you ate, or extra BBQ rib or milk shake or hamburger or whatever and wishing you hadnít done itÖ or worseÖlike throwing in the towel! STOP IT! It is bad for your personal morale. Just like sin, it will eat at you until you forgive yourself and snap out of it! To keep looking back at your errors is the same as wallowing in a mud hole and trying to get clean!
Itís okay to eat something once in a while. Itís okay to have that cake, that burger, that pie, or whatever. Just remember to log it in your foods, and donít think of it as bad. Itís not bad. Food isnít bad! BUTÖ there are healthy choices and unhealthy choices. Continually making deliberate wrong choices is bad.
It wonít kill you to eat an unhealthy food on special occasions. We have been conditioned to think of food like we would sin. Sin is bad. Cake is not bad. Pie is not bad. If you eat it everydayÖthen THAT is a problem. If you over ate and went over your calories because of the holiday or whatever, donít call it bad (unless you ate the whole cakeÖyou didnít eat the whole cake did you?..hmmm?)
Many of us had a cheat day over the holiday. But the holiday is over. Itís back to SparkPeople and living each day one day at a time (starting NOW) by making healthy choices.
Quit kicking yourself! Please quit looking back at your food and treating yourself like it was some unpardonable sin! If you gained a pound or twoÖso what? Itís not a set-back. Itís a step back. So now you have an extra step to take to go forward.
Just do it! Go forward and donít look back! When youíve reached your goal, and you will, then look back and rejoice that you didnít throw in the towel!
None of us are perfect! That's why we are Sparkpeople!
