New Habit

Friday, January 18, 2013

I don't eat out very often, but when I do I try to stay on point with my calorie intake. SO I have started to look up the nutritional facts of what I plan on having at this restaurant before I place my order AND I try my darnedest to stick to it.

The first time I did this which was almost a week ago I did really good. I went to the Outback Steakhouse. I had the Bloomin Onion (which would be nice if it were smaller for those who love this appetizer) and a house salad. PLANNED AND STUCK TO IT!!!!! Then a few days later my mother asked me to ask my sister out to lunch (on my mother). We went to Applebee's. Now my sister really doesn't eat out much so this was a nice little outing. I looked up the nutritional facts before I left home and had written down what I would order on a piece of paper. They had this "Pick A Pair" lunch special which was really appropriate for me. BUT!!!!!! On the table is always the temptation of DESSERTS which I gave into. Even though my sister and I split the dessert it pushed me to an uncomfortable full that I haven't felt in so long. Of course, afterwards I vowed to not do that again. AT LEAST NOT ANY TIME SOON.

Although I wasn't extremely happy with the second turn out, I will still incorporate this habit when I plan on going out to eat.

Today, since I didn't bring a lunch from home, I had a fried food lunch. French fries and 6 piece drummettes. BAD idea. Followed by a slice of cheesecake. Not only was this a very high calorie lunch, but I can literally feel that I made the wrong choice.

I'm on a real good roll and hate to mess it up now with bad choices.
