Well that was the easiest ten pounds ever! Technically, I'm down eleven pounds since the first of the month, but ten is a nice, round number.
What I Did:
- Ate THREE pieces of Black Forest Cake from Costco
- Drank six vodka-tonics in one sitting
- Ate half of a 700-calorie muffin from Costco
- Drank a bottle of Dr. Pepper
- Ate sizzling fajitas with cheese in white flour tortillas
Why I Was Able to Do Those Things and Still Lose:
- Took group fitness classes thrice weekly
- Did independent cardio once weekly
- Went for walk each week of at least 5 miles (8 km)
- Ate a healthy, filling breakfast every day
- Ate a home-cooked lunch 27 out of 28 days
- Ate a home-cooked dinner 27 out of 28 days
- Kept meticulous records of every morsel of food that I ate
- Ate within my calorie range 25 out of 28 days (I was over my first two days on the program, and once when I went out for dinner)
- TREATED LOSING WEIGHT LIKE IT WAS MY JOB
I will be spending four days out of town next week, so I'll be eating in restaurants, but I'll do my best! My hotel has a fitness center, so I'll be keeping up my workouts! I've already previewed the menus at several places we'll be eating so I know what looks like safe choices. And I will pack some healthy snacks so I don't reach for the marzipan-filled cookies when my energy drops! And I'll bring my water bottle. And... and... and...!
