I cook a lot! I love batch cooking because as a single girl, it means I can eat elaborate meals and not feel bad about wasting food. Buying a bunch of cilantro so I can use a tablespoon of it in one dish? No way! I've been a vegetarian for seven years, and I work hard to keep it interesting and not become one of those people who relies on garden salads and french fries.
So, on that note, I'm going to try to share more of my cooking with you!
I have just added a recipe to SparkRecipes. I cooked a pot of Curried Coconut and Chickpea soup last night, and I'll eat the four portions over the next four days (starting with dinner today). If you'd like to try this very simple vegetarian soup, check out the recipe at:

... teeny-tiny pants!
I went shopping today for new winter boots and decided to try on some jeans at Old Navy. I'm kind of relying on Old Navy jeans through my weight loss as they're so cheap that I don't feel bad buying a pair and shrinking out of them a month later. (I only do this with one pair at a time- I'm not that wasteful!)
I needed the SIZE TWO!
Yeah, Old Navy has a size one AND a size zero, so it's not like it's the smallest size in the store, but that was pretty cool!
I didn't end up buying them because they only had them in really trashy washes (faded creases all across the pelvic area... no thanks!), but I'll bet that by the time I go shopping again (not a big hobby of mine) I'll be down to the size one! Hopefully they'll have something dark and simple in a size one (short)!

And I don't care!
I've been eating at the low end of my range all week and I wanted some licorice! I've already eaten (in some form) bananas, tomatoes, carrots, shallots, onions, garlic, pears, spinach and bell peppers today. One pack of licorice is not going to kill me. And my weekly average will still be in the very safe zone (even if these pushed me 50 calories over my recommended daily limit).
It's all about balance.

I always dread Monday night workouts... thinking I won't be able to do it, thinking I should stay home, wondering how I'll survive ninety minutes...
And then when it's over, I think, "Hey, that wasn't so hard! And now I've got six days until I have to do it again!"

It's an evil, evil bow-tie of fat!
Clearly I let my success get the best of me and got super-lazy and just stopped tracking entirely.
But I'm back in the swing of things now, one pound away from my lowest weigh-in last year!
