I did a 90-minute bootcamp yesterday morning (in anticipation of the Indian buffet) and I did another 90-minute bootcamp this evening (in memory of the Indian buffet). My calorie burning goal is 1,600 per week, and two days into the week I've already hit about 1,200! We're on blizzard watch here (it's supposed to be SPRING!) so this will be good if I get snowed in and can't get to the gym later in the week!

Forget Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution!
I'm watching his new show, which I think is only airing in the UK, called "Jamie Does..." So far I've seen him "do" Marrakech, Andalucia and Stockholm. I've got some great cooking ideas just from watching- I will be making his gazpacho ASAP!
You should check it out!

Starting Weight - 152 lbs (February 28th)
Goal Weight - 120 lbs (July 1st)
Midpoint - 136 lbs (May 1st)
Today's Weigh-In - 135 lbs!
Seventeen pounds down, fifteen to go! I am one pound ahead of schedule!
This has been an EXTREMELY easy process for me so far. I've made very minimal modifications to my eating habits (mostly I've just cut out unhealthy afternoon and evening snacking), I'm online all the time anyways so tracking food hasn't been an inconvenience, and I've only added an extra two hours of fitness per week to my schedule. I still laze around on Tuesday and Thursday without feeling guilty about it! I still eat chocolate-covered almonds when someone brings them into the office!
With the right attitude, ANYONE can lose the weight and meet their goals!
If I can do it,

I live on the second floor of a three-floor condo. We got a foot of snow last night and winds were around 65 km/h today as well.
This afternoon, I heard a HORRIBLE noise in my laundry room (which is also my pantry). I was freaked out. I got on the phone with my mom and kept her on the line while I investigated. The noise was REALLY loud, and it happened every four or five minutes. It was so loud that the first time it happened my mom mistook it for the sound of me dropping my phone onto the wood floor. Eventually I narrowed it down to the dryer hose- something was falling down the hose. (I have a stacked washer and dryer, and the hose runs up through a hole in the wall right at the ceiling line. The dryer vents outside, which means the hose must run above my ceiling, all the way across my kitchen, living room and patio to outside... it's a good thirty feet from the dryer to the exterior wall.) The best word I can think of to describe the noise is "crumbling".
For the next five hours, things continued to fall down the hose every few minutes. I tried turning on the dryer to max, and while it was running the noise stopped, but when the cycle was over the noise started up again. It's now happening every half hour or so, but significantly louder and for longer. I had the idea of speaking to my neighbours, and both the people above AND below me are hearing the same sounds in their dryer hoses. I talked to a guy on the other side of the building who isn't hearing anything similar. My landlord can't come over until Saturday (though he said that when he lived here he didn't hear anything like this noise), and the condo management company says it's not an emergency and that I should call them back tomorrow.
What could it be? Can I do anything to make it stop? HELP! I am so scared I feel nauseous!

I rarely, if ever, eat any type of fast food. Today I was supervising my class at the local college's food court, so I decided to splurge on some "pad thai" (and I use the term loosely). Rice noodles, scrambled eggs, tofu, vegetables... and of course that sauce. Eating it was crazy... I KNEW I didn't need to eat it all, I KNEW that eating half of it would be enough... but I still kept eating. I almost finished the entire plate. I'm smart enough to know the addictive properties of fast food, and I'm also strong-willed enough not to really consider it a legitimate meal choice, but man... it must suck to be someone who hasn't yet found the inner strength to say ADIOS to fast food! I think that if I had kids I would never even let them try fast food in the first place. I would still take them to lots of great local restaurants where they could try interesting foods, but since there's no place for fast food in my own adult life, I don't see why I would need to add it to the life of my children.
