Well, it is my 7 month sparkiversary and I couldn't be happier with my progress.
I hit the 25 lb loss mark, I am addicted to exercising on a very regular basis, I have bought a treadmill for my home gym.
There are so many new recipes that I have tried and really liked! Fish is my new best friend when we go out to eat. It is good for you, low in calories, and quite delicious.
I have met so many great people here on Spark that are so encouraging and never fail to have a good word to say every day and this is such a bonus to this lifestyle change.
I have gone on virtual walks with so many thru their beautiful pictures and descriptions of the area which adds so much knowledge of other places! .
Reading other people's blogs give us new idea's to ponder and allows us to know that we are not in this alone and someone else out there has the same feelings, troubles, frustrations as I do.
The support is awesome! The tools are great and are so easy to use.
So I will continue toward my goal with the help of others knowing that I can do this and I thank all of you for the help and support that each of you offer!
This is my motto and I am sticking to it!
Have a great Sunday evening and a great week!
The best is yet to come.
Here are the pictures of my new treadmill, my elliptical and by bike.
I was thinking how lucky I was to have the space to have these great cardio machines and the strength and ability to use them as well.
Everyday I come home from work and I look forward to a fun healthy dinner with my family and then my relaxation time in the gym.
Funny to think of it as relaxing because it is far from "relaxing" as far as physically, but it is so great to just kind of get in a zone of working out on each of these machines and then stretching at the end and feeling so great and like I have really accomplished something.
It just goes to show that we can all "fall" in love with exercising. It just takes time, perseverance and lots and lots of willpower!
But I can do it, and I will do it!
Have a great week everybody and keep on spreading the spark!
Good morning every one and Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone has recovered from the holidays and all have gotten back into the swing of things as you have headed back to work or back to a regular pace!
I haven't measured in quite a while, and I haven't looked at the graph for quite a while either so after reading another persons blog today, I went and measured and checked where I started and where I am. I was simply amazed! I have lost several inches off my waist, hips, thighs and 1 inch off my upper arms. I knew I was losing but sometimes you need to see the actual graph to put it all in perspective and say- Wow, all those workouts have been working!
I am so happy to be with all of you on this site and to celebrate each person's victories with them! You are all awesome! Keep sparking everyone and have a great day and a wonderful week!
Happy New Year to all my fellow sparkers!
I don't like resolutions so I am not going to list any!
But I will list some things that are just promises to myself.
I am going to promise myself however, that I will continue my 6 month streak of exercising daily. I am so excited to be getting a treadmill, because on days that I don't want to be to strenuous, I can still go for a walk. Not possible to do that outside this time of year, so I am really excited to be able to that indoors.
I will continue to watch how much I eat of everything, and will continue to try new recipes with different ingredients that are lower in calories but higher in nutritional content.
I will continue to weigh all of my portions.
I will continue to track everything I eat because that has helped me tremendously.
I will continue to spend time on Sparkpeople because it helps so much to have such a great support system.
2012 has been a great year that has taught me that I can lose weight and once I get to my goal weight within the next 4-6 months, I will maintain that weight for the rest of my life!
I will maintain by the same guidelines that got me there.
I went out to lunch with a friend yesterday that I have not seen for a couple of months and the first thing she said was that I looked like I had lost weight. I was happy that she noticed and happier still to say that I had and how I had gone about it!
Thanks to everyone for your continued support! 2013 will be a great year!
