Day 9 of the rest of my life

Well day 8 didn't go as I planned. I'm not going to make any excuses for it but it just wasn't a good day exercise wise. I did make a few runs at work so I got some walking in. Breakfast and lunch were same old same old. I did however try something new for dinner. Kids were eating fishsticks and rice and I was waiting for DH to come home, so I thought I'd try something not real different but a little different. I was looking through my fridge looking for some leftovers when I saw taco meat. I thought "I'll eat two small tacos that won't be so bad." Well, obviously someone somewhere thought it would be because I managed to knock the container on the floor and spill it everywhere. After I grumbled and cleaned it up, I took out some veggies - mushrooms, green bell peppers and onions, sautéed them up in a little olive oil; heated two small tortilla shells, spread a little amount of sour cream and Parmesan cheese and viola, two veggie tacos instead of the greasy hamburger taco. I was rather proud of myself and my DH was grumpy when he got home because I didn't leave any for him. LOL

    Hubby got rice and baked fish! I didn't get a walk yesterday but I did get one in today. I'm trying not to weigh myself too much at first because I don't want to be disappointed.

Day 7 of the rest of my life

A week! WHOO HOO!!!! I've lasted a week! **happy dance**
Was able to go out late this morning and do some walking while working! :
Had to go get this filed with courthouse and pick up documents so I decided to work out while doing it!!!
We will see how this next week goes!! Hopefully it will be just as good as this past week!!!
Still drinking the water and trying to portion my foods!!!

Day 6 of the rest of my life

Well I didn't get up at 5 a.m. and go on the treadmill - I looked at the clock when I was awakened at 4:30 and just decided I COULDN'T do it! BUT, I took my tennis shoes to work and I went for a walk at lunchtime. Went on a 30 minute brisk walk. It was nice. Cool outside but okay to walk in.
Probably going to do the walking at lunch today, Wednesday and Friday and 30 minutes going up and down the stairs at work Tuesday and Thursday!!!! Work out some different muscles in my body for a change! :)
So far so good.........

    I am right there with you with the early wakeup. I have the hardest time with that, but it does get a bit easier after doing it for a few days.

Day 5 of the rest of my life - part 2

I did end of walking this afternoon - all the way around our block. Ended up being roughly 1.4 miles. So that was pretty good. My legs are still sore from Friday so I didn't run any. Just a brisk walk.
Still doing the water thing. So that's helping loads.
Thanks for all the well-wishes this past week. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!!

Day 5 of the rest of my life - part 1

Going to do some major walking later this afternoon - around the block but I did get some exercise in while doing laundry, dishes, and sweeping and mopping the floor. emoticon

I found something out this morning - you know you need to lose your belly when you realize that something you wore the past couple days has rubbed your c-section scar raw and it is getting tender and sore. 2 1/2 years AFTER the c-section!!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Still trying to eat healthier - 5th day without soda, sweets, or fast food. I did have a small glass of chocolate milk this morning and a toaster strudel WITHOUT the glaze put on it. I am eating smaller portions at meals and trying to cut out quite a bit of unhealthy things I usually eat. It's hard. I truly think I have some sort of food addiction. I hate obsessing over food!!!!!

    I know how you feel about the c-section. It's been over 2 years since I had my twin boys and it get's really sensitive. I'm glad you made progress!! You can do it!!!
