Blog Number Two.

Really wish I knew what to say.. I'm really REALLY struggling this week with eating.. Started off great. Made sure to have 3 meals a day (although very small) and was working my way up but last night I just had a melt down.. It's hard trying to do this on your own. Today I went back to my old ways of diet pills & water... I am hoping once i'm home from work I feel differently because this ED is really taking it's tole on my body & my health.. It's not what I want anymore... :/ emoticon

I know. The fact that I am opening up I find as a huge step towards recovery.. I don't have health insurance right now so to see a therapist would be a fortune... I used to have one that I saw weekly who helped a lot, it's just very hard.. I obsess over every little thing so trying to eat "normally" is very tough. I am now home from work and that mood I was in has passed. I am going to make myself something & hope that this mood does not come back. Thank you for caring enough to post to this blog.. honestly has helped me push past that obsession a little bit.

"Today I went back to my old ways of diet pills & water..."

This is serious. If you have a diagnosed ED and you are under a doctor's care, it's time to check in with him/her. If you have an ED and it is as yet undiagnosed, it's time to get to a doctor for medical help. The FIRST MOMENT you return to your ED, get help.

"...this ED is really taking it's tole on my body & my health.."

ABSOLUTELY. An ED killed my daughter's best friend.

"It's not what I want anymore..."

Good. Then GO GET HELP. NOW. Do not spend one more day in this torment, do not spend one more night thinking you'll "do better" tomorrow. It simply is not worth your life.

Starting out.

Tuesday, August 09, 2011

Just figured out that I did not have a SparkPage. Guess i'll start out with a little introduction. My name is Amethyst, but you can call me Amy. I am 20. I made a sparkpeople account almost 2 years ago, but wasn't quite ready to start. The past 2 months I have been trying to use my account every day.

I am currently struggling with an ED, and thought that maybe being on a website like this with a group of people helping me along I could start dieting the "healthy" way. I am a vegetarian. Trying to make the change to vegan.

This is all I have to say for now. I'll try to keep up with blogs. :)

Welcome back! Congratulations on your weight loss. Looking forward to reading about your journey of your weight loss.

You will enjoy being vegan. There are many vegetarian teams here on Spark People. I am subscribed to some. Take a look.
