Migraine are often said to be "a chronic neurological disorder characterized by moderate to severe headaches, and nausea" (Wikipedia). However, our bodies are made to tell us something is wrong with pain.
For example: did you know if you crave a food that you are most likely sensitive to that food if consumed in large amounts? I discovered this with sugar and gluten (mostly found in wheat - such as bread). Now I barely eat either because I'm eating them less and less. The pay-off? Weight loss and my migraines are virtually non-existant.
I suggest going on "simplication diet" (google it) to find out what you are sensitive to, if anything. Once I lost 30lbs. by doing a one-month "simplification diet" but gained it all back by ignoring my body's warning signs and the migraines returned too.

In brief, my mother & I have been doing the P.I.N.K. Method for just over 2 months and I've gone from a pants size 12 - 8 but the scale says I weight the same.
However, we BOTH have lost at least an inch EVERYWHERE, feel amazing, and have much more definition in our muscles now (especially my theighs & arms). I want to continue working out with The P.I.N.K. Method far beyond the suggested 12 weeks (3 weeks per disc + rest days).
Just wanted to share and encourage others with these results, because when you feel like giving up, remember why you started...

OK, time to come clean. Just like shaving off a mullet.
I have been stuck in a RUT for a month or two falling a little back into bad eating habits and A LOT into bad exercising habits. I walk 1-2 times a week and do a bit of yard work but other than that... no strength exercises or gym.
I decided to suck it up and go for 20 minutes at the Gym on Wednesday. On Thursday I stayed home and played a Dancing game on my XBOX 360 (boy I was sweating!). I realize I love to move but sometimes I'm subborn if I'm like "You have to go to the gym for 2 hours you lazy slob!" LOL!
So, I've decided to "suck it up princess", throw on my big-girl panties (what the heck do those look like anyways?--probably camo coloured) and go for it. NO MORE EXCUSES, I want to be healthy, in shape and feeling great.
Now to see if my brain will cooperate ...

I've lost 9 lbs so far and it feel unstoppable.
I can feel something I haven't felt since I was a kid... a sense of well-being that surpassed my knowledge or understanding. I now know that I don't need a bunch of carb-loaded foods to make me happy. I don't need a bunch of sugar to keep me from going insane. Most importantly, food is here for my enjoyment but I best be choosing the right kinds or my body will be sick & sad.
Anyways, I hope whatever you're doing to help encourage yourself & your body, that it brings you much joy, fulfillment and lots of amazing life-lessons.

I started the 17 Day Diet this weekend (see www.the17daydiet.com ) which is being promoted by Dr. Phil. I'm in "Cycle 1" which is consists of low carbs, unlimited non-starchy vegetables, low sugar fruits, and a little bit of plain yogurt. This stage promotes fat burning, reduces/eliminates fat storage, and helps cleanse the body.
Although it was extremely difficult at first (I love my carb snacks like popcorn) the amazing weight loss and feeling GREAT is really kickin' 5 days in. I've lost 1lb.+ per day (down 5.3Ibs since Sunday) and learned so much. Like, I shouldn't eat high sugar fruits so much, especially dried fruits (I *heart* raisin). I also learned that if I consume more than 40g of fat in one sitting or in very close proximity I feel like I want to sleep for 3 hours+. That's probably a good indication my body is not happy.
I recommend the 17 Day Diet to anyone who wants to learn how to live and love being healthy for the rest of their life. They would have probably called it "68 days head-start to looking & feeling amazing the rest of your life" but it wouldn't fit on the book cover ;)
I'll keep you posted on my progress in Cycle 2, 3, & 4 :D
