Must try to do better....

Sunday, May 08, 2011

Been busy with a stressful job, a fun job, a new granddaughter, and trying to fit in exercise. I need to get back here for the help and encouragement that I always find here. Between working 2 jobs and everything else, I've gotten slack in my eating habits and accountability.

First of all Congrats on the new Granddaughter, let her be your motivation for eating right and exercising (after all before long you will be chasing her around). Working two jobs is tough and even more reason you need to exercise, you need the energy. You know it is true, so schedule the time to do it, just as you would if it were an appointment for work. You can do it!!

Tracking my eating times...

Sunday, December 19, 2010

When I record my food, I am now writing down the time I ate. I've found that I am sometimes ready to get a snack an hour after eating a large meal. I am not hungry, just bored (watching TV) or stressed (at work) and I'm reaching for food. Now I am drinking water, herbal tea, or getting up and exercising or walking around. Started last week but got sick on Tuesday and that was derailed. Now I'm starting again. Can't believe how often I was eating. I'm now trying for about 3 hours between food. Will see how much this helps me avoid extra calories that I really don't even want.

Holiday Eating.....

Sunday, December 12, 2010

I'm trying to eat more veggies during my holiday meals. So much good food - so many calories. Will try to keep my goal in mind at all the parties.

Eating right is definitely harder this time of the year. With all the patries and homemade goodies it's easy to get off track.
Good luck to you!

You can do this!! its not a diet. it is a lifestyle change. you have to find the right foods that work for you and the right exercise for you. and remember, YOU ARE WORTH IT!! invest 30 minutes a day in yourself.

Too much weight loss is bad too...

Sunday, August 22, 2010

I got down to 113 lbs and thought I was at a good weight for my height of 5 feet. I found that I was weaker, tired more easily, and kept getting colds. As soon as I got back to 115lbs, I started feeling much better. Think I'm going to try to stay at 115 to 118 now. I feel much stronger and healthier at this weight.

Has anyone else had this experience?
