Political Animals

Wednesday, July 18, 2012

I loved that new show and this is one of my favorite quotes from the first episode

“Most of life is hell. It’s filled with failure and loss. People disappoint you, dreams don’t work out, hearts get broken, innocent journalists die, and the best moments of life, when everything comes together, are few and fleeting, but you will never get to the next great moment if you don’t keep going. So that’s what I do, I keep going.” - Political Animals

I totally agree. I know no all lives are that way but I totally relate so I keep going!!! emoticon

Interview 2

Friday, July 13, 2012

Well unfortunately did not get the job, my fault...did not meet the requirements emoticon I know there is a plan.

I have done this line of work for 10 years and when I started, as I said before, it was the Creator's will who pushed me in the first place to do it. Now I know it's His will again so like a friend always says "the best is yet to come" emoticon

That's too bad about the job. Don't lose hope. God has something for you in HIS time, not ours. Keep a positive outlook and don't give in to negative feelings!

Danae, Sometimes it seems like a cliche to say to others, "there's something better for you", but it has been my experience in life. Once I got the job that I was praying for, and my family and I suffered because of it. Then they laid me off (for the first time in my life), and I became depressed. What followed was a series of events that lead me into the most incredible job in my field that I never knew existed. You will see better opportunities and it will feel like God just wrapped his arms around you. Benny

So as this morning I had heard nothing about the interview. Then I get a call from the Human Resource person's secretary to meet with her tomorrow at 10:00 am.
My pride comes out right away mad because they are just calling. I know last week was holiday week but when you need a job you want to know as soon as possible, however if the answer is no I think I am might look into a new line of work.

I am still hurt, I know I should let go and I know it was not personal but still hurts. Yes friends this is me resentful thing emoticon emoticon emoticon

Love you all and thanks for your support!!!

They wouldn't bother to have you come in again, I think, unless they were seriously interested! Take heart--God is with you!

I'm thinking a call for an appointment is going to be a good thing. Typically if the answer is no, they'll just tell you on the phone and not waste any more time.

Keep us posted and good luck!

Usually if it's a No, they either don't call or say no when they CALL. Maybe you are getting a second interview?

Softer Easier Way?

Friday, June 29, 2012

Today I read "Have I been hoping for an easier way? There is none. I am not exempt from the cause-and -effect principals that govern the lives of all people."

How my eating has being? Well it might be getting better but not "perfect" and I think what I want is to lose quick the weight that I gain. Why? hmmmm So I don't feel like a loser. I just need to get the giant out:

"But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again "boy, you'll never win!
"You'll never win"

So I can hear the voice of truth.
I just track what I ate today and it was good really. I am going back to basics. No judgement just action. I will track all I eat as if this was my first time around. Going around but upward.

Today every time I craved I drank water and it really helped. I need to put one foot in front of the other one at a time. Taking what worked from the past and leaving the rest behind emoticon

"But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth."

I like "getting better". Each week I try to pick something I am really good at and something that needs to be worked on. I write it down on a card by my computer so I see it and try to say it aloud several times a day for a week. Like: I (name here) have a great attitude and every day I am getting better and better at making decisive decisions."
I got this from "At the Top" by Zig Ziglar and love that book. I have totally changed my self talk from negative to what I really want. When I haven't lost a pound and KNOW I should have I tell myself, "hey, you didn't gain anything, that's great". The trick is to believe it.
Good luck on your journey, I know and YOU KNOW you can do it!!!!! emoticon

"Better" eating is pretty good. I have to go back to basics every once in a while myself. I used to look for the quick loss...but it doesn't last, so "slow and steady" is my motto.
