well it's been over a month and a half since I was on. So much stuff going on here at home.Sad to say my sons other grandmother is dying of cancer back west so we have been trying to get this house ready for the market and sell it and try and buy a house out near their grandmother 1900 miles away so imagine the stress and tons to do and my being disabled isn't helping much but I am doing what I can although paying a price. BUT, despite all this madness I have steadily been losing weight ! 24 pounds down in just under 15 weeks, thats an average of 1.5 lbs a week which is great for me because I calculate my BMR and calorie intake to lose just 1 lb a week so anything over that is "gravy" hee hee, so to say(although I don't eat the gravy)
Despite all my stress I still choose to eat healthy and never pass up my morning oatmeal and last week when I saw my family DR and had my blood work he called the next day and said my results were amazing and so to keep on with my healthy lifestyle ( I had told him all about figuring out my BMR and keeping my calories limited to what it said for me and that I watched what I ate and refused to go on the Cholesterol meds he had prescribed for me back in Feb. and now due to my diet I lowered my numbers by over 40 pts and don't need any medication yay
Happy camper here, so full speed ahead. I still have a long ways to go but seeing my scales always go down slowly but surely is way better than watching them creep up pretty fast,lol, So, I am so busy here trying to get things ready so we can move, trying to find a place to live over the phone with a realtor and lender 1900 miles away, etc...yes, crazy busy but so nice dropping 2 sizes and my son is still doing this with me and he has lost 36 pounds in the same amount of time,lol,though he is younger and bigger and a guy so they have it easier,lol,but we both always encourage each other.
Ok.now I wrote a book I see here,lol, best say adieu for now and ciao and adios.aloha too.

Well,it was a crazy month being busy helping out in a family situation but we made it. I have now been on here 8 weeks tomorrow! I have lost 14 lbs so far so that averages out to 1. 75 lbs per week which is within the normal range and I am proud of that since I operate on a 500 less calorie than my BMR daily rate so I had it figured out to lose a pound a week at least and anything more is a blessing. I did get to do a few chair exercises while watching my nieces and so I am happy about that.
How is everyone else doing? I hope you are meeting your goals and plugging along.Don't beat yourself up if not, just regroup and keep moving forward..never living in the past..Take care now.

MY NAME IS PEGGY AND .I HAVE BEEN HERE EXACTLY A MONTH TODAY THOUGH STATS WILL SHOW ME AS A MEMBER SINCE 2008 THAT'S NOT THE CASE. I WAS CURIOUS BACK THEN SO SIGNED UP BUT DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS DOING SO NEVER DID ANYTHING.
BUT ON JAN 12TH OF THIS YEAR MY SON AND I CAME ON HERE IN FULL BATTLE GEAR DETERMINED TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE OF WEIGHT THAT HAS TAKEN OVER US FOR YEARS..THEY SAY EVERYONE HAS THEIR " AHA " MOMENT. WELL, I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THERE WERE 2 FOR ME NOT TOO LONG AGO. THE FIRST WAS AFTER CHRISTMAS WHEN I UPLOADED PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF ME AND MY FAMILY OVER THE HOLIDAYS. THERE I WAS AT MY PARENTS HOUSE SITING IN A CHAIR AND MY SON SET THE VIDEO CAMERA UP ON AN ENDTABLE AND POINTED TOWARDS ME SINCE I WAS THE CENTER POINT OF WHERE WE WERE ALL SITTING. I LOOKED AT THAT VIDEO AND THOUGHT, OMG, WHO IS THAT JABBA DA HUT WOMAN SITTING THERE IN RED. I SURE WASN'T MRS. CLAUS.MY SHIRT WAS NOT FLATTERING BECAUSE YOU COULD SEE 2 BIG ROLLS OF FAT VERY CLEARLY.IT WAS WORSE THAN DUNLAP TIRES (YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR BELLY " DONE LAPPED" OVER YOUR BELT.) ANYWAYS, I CRIED, SONS HUGGED ME,TOLD ME I AM BEAUTIFUL BUT A WEEK LATER MY AUNT CAME FROM OUT OF STATE TO VISIT AND SHE HADN'T SEEN ME IN A YEAR AND SHE EXCLAIMED HOW SHOCKED SHE WAS TO SEE HOW MUCH I GAINED.I KNOW SHE MEANT WELL BUT IT HURT BECAUSE IT WAS TRUE. I THEN WENT HOME AND CRIED AND THIS TIME MY SONS COULDN'T CONSOLE ME. I SAID THE MADNESS STOPS HERE. I AM FAT, DON'T SUGAR COAT IT. WELL, THE NEXT DAY MY YOUNGEST CAME TO ME AND SAID HE FIGURED OUT MY BMR, EXPLAINED WHAT THAT WAS AND THEN SAID THAT IF I TOOK IN 500 LESS CALORIES A DAY FROM MY BMR THAT I WOULD LOSE ONE LB A WEEK. HE SAID HE WOULD BE MY BUDDY AND WE'D DO THIS TOGETHER. WE MADE A PACT AND IT'S BEEN A MONTH TODAY AND I JUST GOT ON THE SCALES! LOST ANOTHER POUND THIS PAST WEEK AND SO FAR IN 4 WEEKS I HAVE LOST 10 LBS! YAY ME! MY SON HAS LOST 12LBS! YAY US! THAT'S WITHOUT EXERCISE SINCE WE CAN'T RIGHT NOW BUT I AM GOING TO START THIS CHAIR EXERCISE STUFF. JUST NEED TO FIND THE RIGHT VIDEOS FOR ME AND JUST GET STARTED. I ALSO FEEL SLIMMER.LOST AN INCH IN WAIST AND ONE IN HIPS BUT MY STOMACH FEELS AND LOOKS MUCH SLIMMER THAN BEFORE. MY FAVE PAIR OF JEANS KEEP FALLING BELOW MY WAIST AND I HAVE TO KEEP PULLING UP. YAY.
SO HERE I AM. 55 YRS OLD, DIVORCED MOM OF 2 GREAT SONS, NOW 246, DOWN FROM 256 MY ALL TIME HIGH. MY GOAL IS TO TRY AND GET DOWN TO A SIZE 12 THAT I WORE IN HIGH SCHOOL WHEN I WAS ONLY 120 LBS. NOW I KNOW BODY MASS CHANGES AND ALL THE OLDER YOU GET AND I KNOW I CAN'T BE 120 AGAIN BECAUSE I THINK I WOULD BE STICK THIN BUT I THINK AT 145 OR SO I WILL LOOK THE SAME AS I DID THEN.I AM NOT SO MUCH GOING TO GO BY AN IDEAL WEIGHT BUT MY BODY WILL KNOW WHEN I GET TO THAT POINT WHERE THERE IS NO EXTRA FAT ON ME. WE WILL CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN I GET THERE...AND I WILL.. SO WILL MY SON. YAY!
SORRY FOR WRITING SO MUCH BUT JUST VERY EXCITED TO GET STARTED NOW ON SOME SOME OF CHAIR EXERCISES TO HELP ME BURN MORE CALORIES. IT WILL BE ROUGH STARTING BECAUSE I HAVE NO UPPER BODY STRENGTH AND I JUST NOW HAVE RECOVERED FROM BREAKING MY RIGHT ARM AT THE END OF OCTOBER. IT WAS A VERY BAD BREAK AT THE HEAD OF MY RADIUS RIGHT WHERE THE ELBOW MEETS THE UPPER ARM BUT THANK YOU GOD FOR GETTING IT BACK TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE. NOW JUST NEED TO STRENGTHEN IT.

My weight loss has slowed to a stand still but I am still eating healthy, counting my calories by tracking everything and reading labels and using my measuring cups and scales.BUT I feel great and I look slimmer and feel slimmer so I know I am losing fat and not just water weight.
Fat takes up 3 times the amount of space than muscle does so that's why it is great to target losing fat!! So, I knew this would be slow since I can't walk or exercise but I will start doing exercises from a chair soon. Just haven't gotten the knack of how to find what I need on here and the links people send me don't work..lol..grrrr
Anyways, I like feeling slimmer.I have so much to lose but step by step I WILL get there!!!
