Accutely Aware!

Wednesday, May 30, 2012

You know one would think with as many diets I have been on and all the times I have tried to do this that I would have put two and two together! It's like this time around I get what it means to make healthy changes not just jump on the next diet "miracle"! I have to keep reminding myself that I am doing this the right way and that it will take longer for the weight to "melt" off but this time if I do it right, I can keep my weight healthy and not have to take the hard road again! I am really struggling with the fad diet mindset of eating skills, which is totally unhealthy. I feel guilty for eating constantly, even though I am eating right and keeping my metabolism up, my old brain keeps me feeling like I am doing something wrong! What a trip! My mind has let me live in a form of denial about my health and now I am peeling back layers of my life like an onion and have been able to acknowledge and understand my unhealthy eating and emotional preservation habits! OH MY! Personal journey, keep forging on! I will not be derailed!

Patience is a Virture!

Tuesday, May 01, 2012

I want to be skinny today, I have to understand that it will take some time for that to happen! I have been working really hard this last week and although my clothes are a little less tight, I don't show any weight loss on the scale!

I have to remember that I am not a slave to the scale and focus on being healthy and making healthy choices and having the patience to see this through. I will not get discouraged or pulled away from my goals!

As your clothes are a little less tight, I'd say you've probably lost fat no matter what the scale says. You may have added a little muscle, which is more dense than fat and takes up less space for the same weight. That's GOOD because muscle uses more calories even at rest than does fat.

You didn't gain weight overnight. You won't lose it overnight. Good for you for all your hard work! You're doing VERY well if your clothes are fitting better already.
