This is my first week with SP and I'm starting to get the hang of it. I have weighed myself already to see my progress and I have not lost any weight. This is depressing.
Has anyone done Alli? My co-workers have found success by using it but I'm not sure I want to start taking a pill. Thoughts?

Thanks for everyone's input. I don't think I will start using anything at this time. This week I lost 3 pounds just by watching my intake and exercising. I am thrilled with the results and I will keep it all natural.

I've heard it works and I have tried it but I found that I did stop eating high fat foods and just switched to over eating the ones that didn't give me side effects! So while yes it changed my eating habits it didn't help me lose weight.

I have heard of success with Ali, but my doctor told me not to do it. She said while it was FDA approved, the long-term affects on the liver aren't yet known so she didn't trust it...especially when diet and exercise works so well.

I have never done that pill but I do hear that it works I'd rather do it the slow way myself Good luck on which ever way you go with

i would never take a pill or supplement for the purpose of weight loss. i believe that if you eat good, nutritious foods and exercise you can lose weight, period. unless you have some sort of thyroid or hormonal problem, in which case you should talk to your doctor. you can do this!! sit down and make a plan, visualize where you want to be, and write it down! go check out my spark blog for some ideas on visualization (esp. my calendar and inspiration board posts). good luck! let me know if there's anything else i can do to help!

Hi! Actually I have done Alli & yes it does work. The "side-effects" they talk about CAN happen, but only if you eat something bad for you. The leakage, it just depends on what you eat. I found that Alli works GREAT if you eat right. I let myself have a homemade grilled cheeseburger w/ mayo & that was not pretty. Alli pretty much doesn't let your body take in any fat from bad foods. It's wonderful! I would def. suggest trying it out!

I absolutely think that it can be a helpful addition to my journey however I'm just not sure I want to go there...thanks for your feedback. My friends did not experience the "leak"...or they just didn't feel comfortable telling me! HA!

I have heard of people that have had success with it, but I know a few that tried it and hated it. The reason they hated it? It can cause you to "leak" oil. As in, you're in traffic and that salad dressing may have had a little more fat than you'd like, and you now need a change of pants. (I tried to put that as delicately as possible lol). But then I know people that tried and loved it. Although it's not a fix, you still need to put the work in.

Whatever you choose, best of luck!
