Well yesterday was a great day. I got many well wishes from family, friends and co workers for my birthday, which made me feel very special. My wonderful daughters cooked a delicious supper for me and we ended the meal with a DQ ice cream cake (SO YUMMY!!)
I also went to Curves and had an awesome workout doing Zumba in the circuit. I am really loving this new Curves workout and look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays knowing that it's Zumba days.
And to end the day on a really positive note, DF and I met with our photographer for the wedding and signed a contract with her. Before DF showed up at the coffee shop I had a chance to chat with her about doing a boudoir session as a surprise wedding gift for him and we set some tentative plans for that as well (I quite nervous but also excited about it, I know he'll love it!!)
It was a great start to a fantantic year for me!!

I've been having some issues with my left knee lately and since Monday's run my calves and shins have been very tight. The tight muscles are not as much of a concern to me as the knee. Usually with in the first 20 minutes on the treadmill the muscles are warmer, limber and feeling OK but the knee pain doesn't ever completely go away. I don't want to stop running because I really love it but I'm getting a bit concerned because even when I'm walking I can feel it. Anyway, I don't run again until Saturday so I'm hoping that this is just my body adjusting to the changes in intervals that we are doing.
I'm giving myself one more run and if the pain doesn't subside I will get it checked out before I end up doing any permanent damage.

Shortly after I started this journey, I started blogging and found that it was a great way to keep myself accountable. Then July came, holidays came and I stopped blogging. I have continued to have success in my weight loss and have made great strides with improving my fitness, however, I believe thatmy successes and stides would be greater if I would have kept up blogging.
So today I am starting again! Tomorrow is my 46th birthday and I am 30 pounds lighter than I was on my 45th birthday. On July 2nd I will marry the love of my life and start yet another chapter in this journey called life. I am happier than I have been in many years and fully intend to enjoy everyday to the fullest.
My goals for February:
1. Log in to SP everyday - including week ends
2. Exercise 5 days a week
3. Log all my food - good and bad
4. Lose 5 pounds - break through to the 170's and don't look back
5. Enjoy everyday!!
