As I begin the 5% challenge this next weekend on the Teddy Bear team I am excited to complete the warm up exercises assigned. This is #3: Today's assignment is to list all the reasons you want to lose weight. What do you want to change? How do you want to look? How do you want to feel? What things will you be able to do in the future with a slimmer healthier body? And list all the OTHER things that you want to change!
I am losing weight so that I will be a healthier Barb. I suffered multiple organ Auto immune failure 4 years ago and made a commitment to myself last fall that I would begin the process of taking my life back from illness and Prednisone! I want to lose weight to get rid of the tummy, feel cute and curvy, fit in a little black dress and have what I would call a Betty Boop Bikini Body! I know that as I have lost weight over the last 11 months that I have lowered my blood pressure, found that I have more energy, enjoy bike riding, short hikes and walks on the beach! As I continue on my 2nd year at sparkpeople I see my goal weight as possible and look forward to more hiking, biking and being active with my family. I would love to be able to wear a bikini and go snorkling in Hawaii with my husband in the future! The more I stay committed to a healthy lifestyle the stronger I become and the more thankful I am for sparkpeople and the seasons of life ahead! I look forward to the 5% challenge at this time of sparkpeople as a motivation to work on a team to lose weight and enjoy meeting new friends and enjoying the 2nd half of my weight loss journey with them. It's great to be a Teddy Bear!! Let's go team!! Smiles Barb
