Had a moment of panic this morning...I don;t own a passport!!! Oh well the travel is imaginary so the passport can be too!! HaHa
I am excited to do this and trust the long bumpy plateau of weight is about to end...sometimes that 5% sounds so huge and other times...no problem at all...now to watch it really happen.
I'm glad I have a seasoned traveler with me!!!

December...Making it count!!

Monday, December 03, 2012

Happy December Sparkbuddies...

My Blog for today is to remind each of us as we head into the month of decorating and celebrating and shopping and visiting with family and friends that the best gift we can give to ourselves and those that we love is the gift of health!!
So what are you going to do during the month of December to...
Celebrate YOU!!
Decorate YOU!!
Shop for YOU!!
Visit with YOU!!
Here are some ideas...
**Celebrate you by cheering for yourself each day as you make healthier choices all month long and sing along or just listen to your favorite holiday tunes while you exercise.
**Decorate you in clothing that is comfortable and cute as you watch your body look better in the mirror from your wise choices.
**Shop for you and buy yourself healthy food, exercise equipment or weights, and purchase yourself some new exercise clothes.
**Plan exercise dates with yourself all month long and have a nice visit with you as you move your body.
This December as I worship and celebrate and visit and cook and enjoy the lights, I am thankful for my family that surrounds me with love and for each of my sparkbuddies who are sharing this spark journey to health with me!!
I encourage and challenge each of you to seize December as an opportunity to give yourself GOOD GIFTS!! We can do it!!
HO HO HO!!!
Happy December!

What are you thankful for sparkbuddies??

Monday, November 19, 2012

Hi Sparkbuddies!
As we celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA, I am reminded of all that I have to be thankful for. I am going to list a few of my favorite "Thankfuls" here and would love it if you responded with what you are thankful for as well!!

I am thankful for...
My husband who loves me unconditionally and for 32 years of marriage!
My 2 special and unique daughters who are becoming amazing young women.
My daughters fiancee who has become a very important member of our family.
My comfy home!
My extended family and our closeness both in heart and proximity.
My health and sparkpeoples help in getting healthier one day at a time.
Freedom and the right to worship my creator.

What are you thankful for sparkbuddies?

Thank you for the thankfulness reminder. I said some thankfuls in the car this morning and throughout the day (laundry day, for example, I always say I'm thankful for my washer and dryer and all the people who made these possible because they were a gift!) but I am thrilled at another chance to acknowledge my thankfulness. I am thankful for a new chance at life (cancer-free) and for my health and for all my friends and that my family lives closer now and I will see them next week. I'm thankful for God. I'm thankful for freedom. And I'm thankful for SparkPeople because the past 10 or so days here have been amazing!! I'm also thankful for your post this morning so I could be thankful too! :) Have an awesome day.
