I am so tired tonight but feel good that I kept going today. I had a full blow fibromyalgia attack weekend brought on by a big storm that went through our area and a busy Friday going to see the Picasso exhibit with my daughter. We had a wonderful time and were sitting in a cute little Italian restaurant waiting for our "gluten free" pasta lunches when I began to start to hurt and it all went down hill from there. It is Monday and I am still suffering from neck and shoulder and head pain and I am tired of hurting! I am proud of myself though because I still got on my exercise bike both Saturday and today and read my book and road my 7.5 miles and burned my 375 calories and I still sparked all my food and stayed within my calorie range. I ate my Italian Gluten Free Pasta as leftovers and decided I am definitely going back to "The Pink Door" an amazing little Italian Restaurant in the Pike Place Market in Seattle when I am feeling well and can enjoy a real meal without pain. The food was delicious even as leftovers! I am so thankful that I have committed to this life style change and am losing weight at about a pound a week and my blood pressure is back in normal range. I truly believe that I am getting healthier and not for just a little while....NO this path that I started on is sustainable and I even believe I will sometime in the future wear a bikini again! Maybe just for my hubby...we will see! I am so thankful to sparkpeople and the help they have given to me to start on this new path. I have hope and motivation and truly believe that I will succeed on this new path to a better Barb! The fact that I could keep going even through a pain episode makes me smile and know that I can really do this! Smiles Barb

emoticon I am so excited that after only a little over a month of monitoring everything on sparkpeople and seeing what I should eat and how much I should exercise and implementing it to the best of my ability that I have lost 7 lbs, lowered my blood pressure and feel encouraged to keep going. Smiles to Sparkpeople for their gift to me of a way to get healthy and stay accountable that is easy to use, very educational and effective. Smile from Healthy Barb

I am continuing to work hard and have lost total of 10 lbs and still going! So thankful for this sight and all of the encouraging and educational things to read. I love that it is so easy to track what you eat and have all the nutritional information in a second. I am using a stationary recumbent bike and exercising 4o minutes a day 6 days a week and also doing core strength training and breathing and relaxation for 15 minutes a day and seeing my blood pressure go down. I am recovering from Auto immune problems and slowly getting off of prednisone which is hard work but definitely helping. Finally seeing weight loss instead of weight gain is awesome.
