Sat. eve

Saturday, August 20, 2011

We had a great day, we went to town and went to the small mall and walmart but no sundresses. Walmart had a few 1x and up and they were all too big. Zellers had a few smalls , so guess I waited too late in the season. I will look when we get home at the mall. This is a big thing for me, as I don't ever wear dresses, only my kids weddings and honestly can't remember when other than that the last time was.
Sunny but not super hot, walked dog and had many comments oh she has to be hot. double coat and a lot of black. Have my water here and know my 2nd bottle ( holds 3.5 cups) will be done in bit. Geesh can't remember the rest but day was good. Knee is swollen but didn't hurt much. Dog needs another walk this eve before the mosquitos. That is the only downer, I swell when i get bit and man I have some real big bites. So glad we got the screened in tent.
Okay off to get the dog walked, have a chat with few campers and back to maybe play yatzhee or scrabble with hubby. DD is gone to Cape Breton to get their new dog a boxer named Nico.
cya in the am! with some new goals.
HUGS

Sounds like a good day. I got your email & I smiled the whole way with reading it. See how quickly you're picking up this positive attitude thing? We have a lot of company right now, so just checking in quick. Will write more later.

Sundresses can still be found if you buy online but not the stores. Makes no sense to me that living in even Florida, the only place to buy a sundress is at the beach side stores and even those stores don't stock a lot off season. So check online if you have time to order one.
I am the same way from mosquito bites and almost anything else that stings. I swell and explode and need benedryl cream and oral.
Enjoy the laid back evening playing board games. I just bought a new Battleship I can hardly wait for hubby to feel up to a game.
Your an inspiration and I just wanted to tell you so.
Hugs,
Hope

Saturday Morning

Saturday, August 20, 2011

And the internet is working!!!
And so far I have no pain!!!!
I have walked the dog with limited limping!!!
We are going in to the town to get 2 birthday cards, and an anniversary card and paper plates. Sil is going to have a corn boil tomorrow for her hubbys 63rd birthday. They don't live very far and are the ones that slept in the trailer last week. Will be fun.
I hope to get to the gf store and see if there is anything there today. She doesn't hve much very often, but will see if there is a treat or whatever I can take so I don't have cake there.
So today my goals are:
walk the dog at least 2 more times
walk around the farmers market and the mall
eat healthy
drink my water
and MAYBE if one is on sale buy a sunDRESS!!! OMG Deanna will be shocked! LOL if she remembers my blog or message.
Again thanks to you all for being here. I am in the mood to say day 1 cos of a new found attitude and feeling but will just say gee day 19,955 days of being on this earth!! OMG wow do I feel old!! that is neat.

Study done on the size of womens asses

Friday, August 19, 2011

Women's ass size study: There is a new study about women and how they feel about their asses, the results were pretty interesting. 30% of women think their ass is too fat, 10% of women think their ass is too skinny, the remaining 60% say they don't care, they love him, he is a good man, and wouldn't trade him for the world...If you're laughing, repost and make someone else laugh!

Fabulous Friday

Friday, August 19, 2011

Yea why not, cos it is going to be - we are going to go to trailer, I am going to get my upper strength in, and then walk the dog while we are there. I WILL eat healthy and properly and feel good. I also will ice my knee and rest some too - which is easier when there isn't 2 sets of stairs in the house.
Thanks to a great spark friend, I again have my head on straight and am able to see that I have learned a lot in the past few years and now have to learn to put all this knowledge into practise. No more excuses for me especially the wimpy ones!
No sun yet today, don't think it is supposed to rain but whatever, doesn't matter I don't melt and I am going to have a great day.
No debbie downer for me today!
HUGS to you all, gotta go get the tote to take to trailer ready, fill with food, clothes allready, trailer laundry done and packed, just food and then freezer and fridge food and off we go again.
cya later, when net allows!

Interesting info on MS

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

I am positive I don't have MS but had ordereda book from library on MS and diet and since it came thought I would just go through it to see. Well.......... the 5 foods that are triggers for MS: gluten, eggs, dairy, legumes and yeast. The biggest ones are gluten and either eggs or dairy for most people. Okay fine.......... then get this girls!!! they reccomend a paleoithic diet but not a lot of saturated fat.
To me this means a healthy diet, cos it eliminates processed food and junk focussing on veggies, nuts, fruit and of course the protein. MS suggests fish, chicken and not the red meat that paleo more so reccomends.
Interesting stuff cos I do feel better not on gluten and that also goes with findings for people with no gallbladder...
So since I know I find it so hard to do the strict elimination paleo diet and did it for 10 days with not a lot of diff. I am just going to ensure that I eat healthy and non processed as I said in previous post. Was just interesting to see it from a medical viewppoint that deals with neruo issues. hmmmm....
Well off in a bit to get some groceries. Hubby is trying to find out why the car is still leaking, seems it may be the hose from sun roof that is disconnected and leaking, has been an issue on other HHRs.
okay off we go.

OH OH dil has decided to choose to have a section ( had to with Thomas) and they have decided that Oct 31 Halloween will be the day. She is due nov 7 but went early with him, so ds thought that would be a great day. OMG halloween what a reason to chose a child's birthday!

I know I do really well (for me) if I stay totally off gluten, and preferably off of dairy and eggs also. And, of course eliminate the saturated fats. I do eat legumes though with no apparent problem.

My birthday is the Oct 27 & I always had Halloween themed birthdays. It's still my favourite holiday. I think he's going to love having a Halloween birthday, especially if he has a twisted sense of humour like me!

Interesting stuff on the MS & food recommendations. It's good to read all the information, but then you have to see how that applies to you specifically. I certainly feel better since I started eating mostly whole foods.

I've noticed that I eat less grains now than I ever have. I didn't do it on purpose, but it just seems that I'm just naturally more attracted to fruit/veggies/lean meats. I used to have at least 4 pieces bread every day (toast & then sandwich) - now I have bread maybe once every couple weeks or so.

Glad you are finding information that is working for you. Even if it's NOT MS. FIngers crossed. I have 2 friends with it and they are very active. Eat well my friend.
