Well this is day 47 with my walking streak, and again a frosty but dry am, so able to do so much better. I had told the occupational therapist that I was better during the drier winter months and wow I really am. Sill ache ect but not as bad at all.
Last night we had supper, I took Allie for a good walk, came back went to start on a box or two downstairs, and thought oh don't feel well. Went upstairs and whew....... man the pain was enough to knock me out, in the upper belly ( near where my hiatal hernia is I presume) and then vomited all my supper. After a bit of that, hubby bringing me water and a blanket as I was suddenly frozen, I felt a bit better. Came down and laid on couch, which didnt work as it is a loveseat and not big enough for me and a crazy puppy. So I did the lazyboy thing as both sides recline and she laid by me. I was in bed by 9:30 told hubby thanks for taking care of me, the dog is yours and I am going to bed. Had a cup of green tea, read for half hr and was asleep. Fit bit said I didnt' sleep well, but however I feel fine. So thinking I need to start fresh and back on the veggie wagon. Cn honestly say don't remember when I have had more than 1 veggie serv. a day. Been a while.
Yestrday got 2 great cookbooks easy and primal from library so have a list today.
- call dr and see if xray was ordered
- call and confirm apt with spec.
- do some of dads boxes
-clean kitchen and find places for the stuff of mums I now have
- tidy dining room table
and sort and find some recipes, then make a menu for the week and go get my veggies and meat I need
So busy and not sure it will all get done as not sure what hubby has planned and know that dd and son in law are coming over as hubby will help son in law change the battery for their car.
OKAY off the puter, I have 2 walks in, Alllie has finally settled for bit. I can tidy kitchen now. Oh maybe put in load of wash today. I don't do wash on tues or fri now as dads worker comes and she does the laundry for him.
HUGS and so glad that I have a plan, feel better and feel as if last nights belly ache gave me the incentive to get on track again.
Have a super day all, do your best and I will do mine.

The 3 Cís of life: Choice, Chance, Change. YOU must make the Choice to take the Chance if you want anything to Change.
Saw this on the board at the physical therapy place I went for my functional assesment and I read it and thought, WOW how totally true. and then add to it, what do you want to change and how much of a chance are you willing to take with this choice.
I say I want to eat healthy, well that is a choice, then I have to be willing to take the chance to try new healthy veggies, and that will make the change. HMMM, I want to exercise that is the choice, I have to be willing to make the change and even start something, starting slow so I dont' injure myself, that will be the change.
Now to put it into practise and really keep at it. I can say i have had a streak going since oct 3rd when we got Allie. I have walked daily many times most days at least 4 miles or up to 7 which is way more than I had done in while. Yes I limp, yes my back aches, but If I want this dog to be trained she has to go out and being a puppy she has to exercise. I plan for this dog to walk daily forever! lol
So can say that today is day 43 of my walking streak!!! WOW that is a lot of days. I am going to start saying that at the start of my blogs, like others do and keep myself motivated.
I also have my functional assesment done, the girl wouldnt say anythng about the results but I know that today anyway wasn't good, my back and knees were bad from day before, I didnt sleep well so she said if it doesnt feel safe or hurts so told her okay could say nothing then cos it is all going to hurt, so I did what I could but as soon as I felt any diff in pain I stopped. the stairs today made me very dizzy and I did the strange trip thing I do on one or two of the bottom ones. Anyway now to wait, nervous but oh well. Insurance can now say, we will continue till you get to the knee dr, or can say try for CPP or we are going to buy you out, which hubby says no to. He got a bum deal when his insurance bought him out.
Well wind has turned very cold, Allie is laying by the door sleeping, hubby watching tv and figuring bills, dad reading or on puter, not sure. Tomorrow I hope to get some stuff out of dd van as now we have room in the living room for it. lol Not a lot there, hubby will probably finish the shower stall tomorrow. He has one of the walls up.
Think i will go down and sort a box or two. I will put some decorations on top of his cupboards just to empty the boxes. LOL
Okay night for now hugs and cya tomorrow!!

Well the assement was pretty well what I expected. questions and such and then lift, push, pull, walk up and down 3 steps ( not the same as a bunch of steps), squeeze. and one I didnt do was on knees crawl up and then crawl hands and knees. So have no idea, as she wouldn't tell me anything not even how much I had in the box. Said I did okay. who knows do know that 1/3 way through my back was sore, my knee and thighs and my thumbs. Anway back again tomorrow.
Pouring rain and dull, not great for pain but so so. My thumbs are very sore today which is unusual as they don't bother me that often. I have pain in my R side of my back since the assesment she saw me hold it when I had to carry a pail. That I found hard.
Got some library books and would love to hunker down under the covers and read this afternoon but betting allie has other ideas lol
Dad wants to make pancakes for supper. I said well today but starting tomorrow I am not eating wheat for while again. He said you can have them they are made of flour. I said and flour is made from wheat, well he said can be this and that and I said yea your bisquick is white processed flour. But hey will let him make them and he will be glad, amd I wont have to make supper LOL
Okay off to read and hold allie, she is a lap puppy with her bone laying on either of our laps. WHat a baby. THe vet last night loved her, he was our reg. vet and said what a girl!!!!
speaking of her she wants on the deck. ha it is pouring out she doesnt care. first dog we had that didnt mind the rain.
Cya later hugs
