wondering what Thomas is thinking now!LOL will take dad over to meet his great granddaughter and visit for a bit tomorrow.

Eva Maria

Friday, October 28, 2011

Eva maria arrived at 1:48 5lbs 14 oz just a little hair. She is 19 inches long and is filled out good. Both sets of grandparents have held her and her big brother LOL Thomas was there but he was interested in the balloon mostly. He did watch her and was amazed for a bit, touched her toe and then she moved and he was wow and wanted down to chase the balloon.
Hope they all get some sleep this eve, as Anna looked exhausted. She was in labour from 6 am till nearly 2 but when it started fast she only had to push 4 times.
Pictures will be here soon. On hubbys phone and he will get them on puter soon. here is the one I have. opps went on twice sorry!

Wondering Wonderful Wednesday

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Feel as if I am somewhat back on track. This am, I didn't walk the dog,but did walk around the inside of my main floor 20 times. Did a good rate too so that is 480 steps that were easy and non thinking.
I have eaten a good healthy breakfast and have my water here. One cup of green tea. Starting to have problems drinking my water now that it is getting colder. So before I drink my hot tea ( weak green tea no milk no sugar), I will drink 1 cup of water. That will ensure at least 4 cups a day.
Today we go to Windsor and have lunch at TIms with our friends, going to check their nutrition before I go and then meet with the cottage people. We have our questions and plan changes ready and hope we don't forget too many once we are home.
SO what will I do today to make my tomorrow better?
-start eating veggie intentionally again
-yoga ( this eve back care yoga!)
-drink my water
-ME time

That is good for now, I have been so lax and just feeling so overwhelmed that it just seems as if we were busy from up to down. Today is our day, then tomorrow back to dil. Sat sun and or monday will be with dd again probably. I may chose not to go and stay home and get organized.

Okay best get moving want to walk around the house 20 more times, have a shower and get moving.

WIll share, am gettin small flutters in various parts of my body, today it is quite noticeable in my R eye the one that went red. I go to the dr nov 4th and am goign to ask if I should return to my eye dr with this info.
Got my first payment from insurance, but they also sent a letter saying they are reviewing my claim and will let me know further along.......

hugs gotta scoot

I count my unsweetened hot tea as part of my water. There are no calories in it and the only difference from plain water is the good stuff that green tea gives you. Since I feel chilly in the morning I go through a teapot of green tea most mornings lately (that's 4 cups) emoticon

Messy Monday!

Monday, October 17, 2011

Pouring rain, and dull but at least I am not in as much pain. Still super stiff and can tell it will be sore but am hoping that if I walk around the house and maybe do some easy yoga that is specifically in my back class it may help. HUbby woke with that same very super sore knee this is the 3rd time he has had it. We are falling apart! LOL
Today is going to dd to go shopping and pricing then maybe to do a bit of work in her bathroom. Helps us as we have to take the wall down by tub taps as when we bought it needed to be replaced so even if we stay or sell has to be done soon. So we will have an idea of $.
Hopefully will make some shepards pie for dad today. Tomorrow we go back to dil to help her attach some things to the wall better as Thomas is all boy! LOL nuff said!
Wednesday is the meeting at cottage country and our friends that live an hr farther down the road said lets meet for lunch. so that would be nice, havent seen them in long time. Good to chat with someone that knows us well and we haven't seen in ages.
So busy week again and I am going to go to dads with the stuff and say what was it you wanted... cos don't have the guts to say what did you want to say about the mortgage but as hubby says we hae to know what he thinks about all this....
okay gotta scoot making my oatmeal and needs a stiring. cya

Back in earnest to:

What will I do today to make my tomorrow a better day?
- take vitamins and omega 3 - Goal Met
-eat healthy all day
-drink my water
-walk around the house
-me time
-think more positive that things will eventually sort out

I will be back to check them off! I keep forgetting that as some nights don't turn on puter.
HUGS have a great day

Editing and boy I didn't walk around the house but did walk around home depot type stores from 12 till 5!!!! OMG dd got a new sink and an awesome deal on a shower unit. the tyupe with all the diff sprays that go all over the place for 100 down from 300. and she took so many pics of flooring to show her hubby. Now we are both beat.... she just called asking can dad come show me how to do the foam stuff in a bit. lol he shows and she does most of the work. She is pretty handy, moe than her hubby for sure.
Tonight i am going to boil up some potatoes for shepards pie tomorrow.
hubby wouldn't eat it with cauliflower Deanna, and dad didn't eat the last ones I made him cos I put veggies in them. only put hambuger, gravy and mashed potatoes with butter in it. Nver heard of corn or stuff. so........ I will add veggies to ours but just make him some individual ones.
But this eve I need to rest. Am exhausted, then tomorrow is take those to dad, then go to Thomas to fix ups some stuff to be safer for him. Then wed to the meeting about our land......... geesh. bed will come early this eve.
hugs all and will drink more water yet.

Hey - I made Sheperd's Pie last night & just shared the recipe on my blog. It's made with whipped cauliflower instead of potatos, reducing carbs/cals. Hope you have a great day.

OMG what a MEEEEE day!

Thursday, October 13, 2011

OH man what an afternoon!!! WOW awesome, fantastic, healing, theraputic what else can I say. I drove for an hr to get to this 102 year old house that the owner of the retreat has bought out in the country. I knew the way so was a nice drive with fall colours and not too busy roads.
Came in and filled her in on all my many things in the past 2 years. mum, work, dad, hubby and kids, and all the pain... so I said what do you suggest I am putty in your hands. and OMG what awesome healing hands.
She started with a foot soak, then suggested refelxology (which she has done on me before along with massage) almost an hr on my feet. It worked so well, If elt electic pulses in certain areas, heaviness in other areas, could feel my upper chest feel not as constricted... then she massages from knees down, then up to my head where she did crainal sacral massage and when she got to my R side of my neck tears just flowed. it was so tight and felt so good. she said i may feel woozy or emotional. Then said roll over and she massaged my back, up and down the sides of my spine resting her hands on the lower back and into my hips. OMG I started to tear and everytime she got near my lower back right at the L4-S1 area ( tailbone and just above) I would have tears then it got to shaking crying, she stopped said are you okay, oh yes. I wasn't even really thinking anything just releasing. So did that for while, then just rested her hands on my back up and down my spine. Then told me take my time getting dressed. I did then got up met her in the kitchen, said do you have time for the jade healing bed. OMG sure. so it is infared and jade in a mat you lay on. So much easier on my back than my sauna. but don't get the detox of the sauna. Anyway 3o mins of that!!!!
I know it is 2 -2.5 hr treatment for half day. I got there at 12:45 and left at 4:45!!!!! Called hubby told him I was on my way and got home na dhe had a light supper ready! OH what a day.
you can only imagine how healthy, light, healing but yet tired and rung out all at once. I need a nap! LOL early bed this eve.
So still no real idea. wavering both of us from apt in town to land. Apt is so more realistic cos near dad, near kids, near grandbabies. and all dr apt ect. and we can slowly build a cottage on our land.
only thing with this is hubby has in his head that we need a more fuel efficent vehicle even if we stay in the city. He has always always always...... ad infinite changed vehicle. I said why if we are in the city the one we have is good enough adn wa will be able to afford to go to PEI ect. anyway will see tomorrow we are going to go look at apt buildings and find out the cost of rental even to see if it is feasible and probably go look at prius cars.
also got the car seat for Eva today, and will drop that off, and then it is octoberfest at legion and dad got us all tickets so thats tomorrow at 5.
hope you all had a great day and tonight I am just saying what did I do for me today....................
I had a super ME day and let it all go, sighed, deep breathing, cried just let my body be.

HUGS to you all and if you are in the NS area, in HRM, Truro, WIndsor check out my addy below she is FANTASTIC.

TEMPEST272002 10/14/2011 10:08AM

Some people are natural healers and I imagine your appointment went long because this woman could see that you really needed her at this time. How lovely that your spa day wasn't just business to her, but an opportunity to really make a difference in your overall health. The spa day alone was lovely, but her extra attention made it a real gift.

I was seeing red flags when you're talking about hubby wanting a prius. I have such a hard time saying no to my hubby, even when I know I should. You too? Recent money issues you've written about make me think - is hubby trying to meet his own pleasure needs with the transient thrill of a new car... even though you can't really afford it right now? This getting a new car thing - it could be a reaction to his feeling stressed & wanted to do something to "feel good", just as you might dive into a big old box of chocolates... only way more expensive.

Make him do the math! Actually work out how much the loan/lease will cost each month versus the money saved on fuel (get out the calculator and do 2 sets - one for each country & city driving). Having owned a hybrid, I know it cost me way more in lease than I ever saved in gas!

And if he won't do that - at least hold him off. Convince him to wait until you've made a decision about where to live & have actually lived there for 1 month. You won't know what your actual needs are until you are living them!

Good luck on the apartment hunting tomorrow. I think renting is a smart idea since you guys are expecting some big life changes with your dad and your country property. Taking care of a yard & just everyday household repairs can take up alot of time and energy. Might be nice not to do them for a while.

I hope I'm not being too much busy-body on the advice here. As always, please feel free to disregard any & all of it!

Sounds fantastic. I made an appt for Sat. facial, 1 massage & pedicure. Lost my cousin to liver cancer today and a friend just had surgery for ovarian cancer. Tomorrow would have been Dad's 90th.
