Wow over a week and no blog!!!

Well lets say I am not here as often as I have been.... been busy doing Trim Healthy Mama, and losing wt and feeling full and satisfied. But the past 3 days the pain has been wicked.... I have new pain lol it is in my thigh, and my shoulder both my L side and feels as if someone Hit me hard with a hammer and left a very very sore bruise. I havent' any idea what happened, I didn't bump or fall etc. and itisnt from my fall 2 wks ago as all that is on the other side and nearly gone! So my thigh is so sore I cant sit, and walk is okay if I am slow but sitting no matter on what or how is bad, as is laying down. It doesn't feel sciatica like but when I stand still like at counter or just standing, I feel my thigh tighten and the pain then nerve pain inmy foot. my arm on outer side upper arm has the same bruised feeling. So wondering if this is fibro... cos isn't arthritis. Anyway got my 10,000 steps yesterday but was hard, today just making it too. But that's okay I only want to get to 10.

Would love to have a bath, but can't lower myself in or get out without my knees cos both arms hurt. Golfers elbow is getting better since using the nitroglycerin patches but still sore at times. I feel ike trying anyway so sore.

Sun shone today, was cold but nice. Snowed laast night and this am, we went in the yard, and then I held onto the fence all the way down the hill for dear life as was all frozen slush as it snowed last eve early. Got there stayed in the field she got no walk.LOL got home and was 700 some steps usually over 15 or 2,000 for our am walk lol . Melted later and we went for a very slow walk. I hope whatever this is leaves. I think I did mention spring for past 4 years hasnt' been nice on my body. And we are in for a wicked snow storm middle of the week. rain, snow, wind a noreeaster........ no wonder I hurt.

But been doing well and in good moods for most part. A spat with hubby but that is over and fine lol Hoping to find some new sneakers on sale as can't afford 140-150 a pr for New Balance that fit my crazy foot. darn.......

Okay gotta go move as hurting to sit, walk and then going to bed. NIGHT all. oh down 5 lbs!!!

    Glad you're getting around some. Sorry for the pain, I can't get in and out of the tub very easily either so I just do the shower, it's walk in and I don't have to lift the legs which is a blessing. I live in Florida so I wear closed toe sandals with socks (Long Story). I hope you sleep well tonight. emoticon

    I love baths and hate when I can't have them. Sometimes my hubby has to help me in and out of the tub.

I love New Balance too but have found some other ones that work. Like Sketchers and Saucony.

Saturday a few things to do today

Well I am hoping that this day gets going better than it started. I woke with a lot of back and sciatica pain and not keen on that sticking around. We have to go to one grocery store as it is tax free day today and we need the big bag of dog food, don't think anything else that we need will be taxable as I try to make most of my own cleaning supplies etc.

I also plan to go to bulk barn and use the coupon and get what all I need there. Going to buy some turmeric. Hoping it is platable as I really really don't like curry, but may be drinking this golden milk drink anyway as is so healthy and good for pain and inflammation. Will see but says you can also add to your smoothies so can always do that, in with my spinach and cucumber and 1 fruit with my yogurt and almond milk.

Head isn't too bad, a lot of brown and green now, the purple is slowly fading. I have been putting witch hazel around and on it 2x day, mum swore it took bruising down fast or stopped bruising so that is what I will try. And actually for a week tomorrow it is pretty good. I am a very lucky person I didn't hurt more or worse.

So off to get a nice hot cup of my green tea and figure what all I need at bulk barn!

    I have read that about turmeric and am putting a bit on my lunch salad. It does have a bitter flavor so I put it in one spot, stir around and eat like medicine! Surely would be easier to take in a capsule BUT I had my son bring me some and do not want to take more capsules than I already am! Surely putting in your smoothie is a good way to make it more palatable.

Well it is Friday...

Glad that it is Friday, but doesn't really matter to me. I hope we stay in today and go to the store tomorrow, yes it is busier but tax free so we can go early etc...
Still a mess with my eye, however the scabs are gone on my forehead. Now my eye is all the pretty colours. But I have a cough........ oh man does that ever hurt my eye every time I cough even gently. oh well that too will pass.

So it is getting better but will take awhile.
Today taking it easy, a bit of laundry, a bit of sorting. Going to get my papers for natural stuff, ie laundry soap, body butters, scrubs, and also diff recipes. I have a huge binder and it is sitting empty with papers all over the place or notes on little pieces of paper. so going to start that...
Have gotten my steps in which has been amazing to me. Not losing wt but will get there. Right now my priority is to keep the headaches at bay and not fall again.

Tired Tuesday

Slept okay till around 3 when I was awake for nearly 2 hrs so may be going back to bed in bit. So my eye is shut today and very purple. still no bruising on body other than small one on the opposite knee. Just sore all over, finding diff spots off and on and of course that darn planters wart is still there, it didn't disappear cos I hurt else where lol

Hubby convinced me not to give up my streak and re start to day 1. I did my 10,000 plus yesterday, slow but did, and he said was only1 day you had a valid reason, dr said no lol plus not able to move. So I kept it going and will add a day on at the end to be a full 100. First time in long time I have done something more than a few days so was so happy and proud. SO day 11 today it is. and LOL now will go back to bed, not conducive to steps but so tired.

NOt much today so will take it easy and slow and just stroll around house and with dog. Supposed to rain or snow, so believe me when I say won't be going out if it rains then snows. NO WAY!

Have done a rough draft of all the papers, found dates they wanted. Thanks to the purse calendars that I save with dr info etc. and jobs - they are always put in with our tax envelopes so found dates for spec. apointments, when Is started and stopped stuff. geeesh I have no memory which is one of the questions LOL

Okay off to bring allie in, she is howling at an ambulance that just went by with sirens going!

HUGs have a great day cos I am going to, purple eye, bruised innards and sore foot but I will! emoticon emoticon

Messy Monday well at least my face...

I am getting tired - just past supper time and need to stop and rest. I haven't done much today but then the duty dr did say rest. We went out to get hubbys perscriptions fill and then had to go back to get them. Stopped in at drs to see if he could see me at all, just for a sec but he wasn't working. But new receptionist, and she got us both an apt for Wed am.
Then a few mins ago, sec. called the CPP disability papers are filled out! that was fast, which means I have to stop procrastinating too. Man hard to fill on my end, but that's okay will get started.
So today my knee is still very sore especially if I turn it at all, my face still swollen and now my eyelid is a dk purprle and starting to bruise around the brow.. beautiful I am! LOL and a few mins ago said to hubby my arms have been hurting my triceps area, and getting worse, feel bruised and now lol my waist on R side. I was expecting some of this cos no way I fell and just hit my face and knee. Glad my dr will see me wed. he can write this all down too! LOL
Very disappointed that I didn't get my 10,000 steps in yesterday and doubtful for today. I know I have a valid reason, but wanted to do the 100 days. So thinking what I can do instead and re start this up when my knee is better. SO think I will give up eating after supper.... that may be a hard thing for me but I can do it. I WILL DO IT. so today will be day 1 of that 100 day challenge and should be no reason that I can't finish it! LOL
All right off I go to get my sweet potato fries out of the oven. HUGS all

This darned winter has been a beast this year and the ice is worse than all the snow and bitter cold! Hard to believe the first day of spring in less than 2 weeks away. I sure hope it arrives on time. We deserve nicer weather.

    YOu certainly fell hard Cinders, it's going to take time to get over that. Looks nasty.
You'll do fine with your papers, do a draft before you fill it in, leave it to one side and go back to it a couple of times before completing it properly. That will allow you time to think of anything that does't come to mind immediately.

    I am SO sad to read about this but VERY impressed with how you are adapting and moving beyond it so quickly. Change has never been easy for me especially when I'm forced to do it. Thank you for sharing your experience and being such a great example of going with the flow even when the flow feels like you are white water rafting.

    Cindy ..... boy, you and me!!! I fell on February 17 after driving all day in terrible snow. Went to move stuff off the steps in the house and stepped backwards and missed a step. I hit my head on the frame of the couch, wood on the front of the couch and then the floor. Went to urgent care - ended up with an egg on my egg and one on my temple and a sprained right wrist. The black eye showed up the next day and is still there!! After a few days I realized my foot hurt and my neck were bothering me. Went to see the chiropractor. Seems I gave myself a mild whiplash and only heaven knows what's up with my foot. Need to see the primary about that - but for now I'm using ice. I was so lucky that my knees were fine, although my legs were bent in ways that I thought I couldn't bend them anymore!!

Please take care of yourself. Only do what you can - you don't want to do any additional damage until you can see the doctor and get the okay!! I hope the knee gets better soon. Believe me --- I understand!!!
