So glad I slept Sunday

I SLEPT!!!! like that commercial finally I slept for 7 hrs last night. Also got 3 hrs in a row, unheard of for me lately.
So today going to Atlantic Fabrics going to finally make some curtains for the kitchen and perhaps some for dining room and put the lace panel under the new ones. DD is going to go with me after then are done their errands.
For now going to tidy up the ktichen and figure some menus. Not a busy day but a good day. Pain isn't even that bad today, oh yea forgot. lol Have to go do my exercises NOW even before I do the kitchen. So far 2x day everyday.
Cya gotta do them NOW.

Sleepy but good friday

Dads assesment was 2 hrs but we weren't called down or asked. I did go down to get laundry out of the dryer and she said hi and he introduced me. But that was it, so not sure what he will get or even be able to apply for. We will find out some after she sends in the paper work.

Didn't do a lot today, we got groceries, did my exericses, some laundry, walked dog a few times, and now going to go exercise and then go bed. Even though it said i got more sleep, I know it wasn't good as I remember waking so much and just so tired today. Pain started about 4 am so that wasn't good.

Highlight of my day was a notice from sparkpeole that my page had been chosen as sspark people motivator! WOW what an honour and wasn't sure what ever for. I want to thank all the spark friends that have clicked on that link on our pages and made that possible. makes me want to do even better. HUGS and what great friends you all are, I can't imagine I would have still been here had I not made such great supportive friends.

    Congrats that's quite an honor! emoticon I'm wondering is your dad a veteran? if so he's entitled to so much and even if he's got medicare he's entitled to a lot, just depends what info he gave and hopefully he's not like my dad and said he didn't need help.

good physio apointment

HI all, had a pretty good day today, Had to wait nearly 20 mins to get into my physio apt which was absurd, don't schedule so many at once and give a bit more one on one. anywaaaaaay. lol
She was very complete in questions asked and listening. then she got me to lay on my back with ice, and heat on my knee with it up in one of those triangle wedges for 15 mins. came back and did a lot of holding my heel and pressing on my knee, and pushing my knee down till it was tight in back of calf. Actually hurt but felt good if that make sense.
Told her I am scare of surg. cos so weak and how bad my back is and to do the pre surg. ex. hurts my back, can only imagine when my knee hurts 100 tmes more. she said we will work on core, and legs and you will get stronger.
She gave me 3 exercise to do 2x day at home. I was talking to the receptionist who is my age and said worried to go to physio cos then if I get a call for surg. have no physio left. Anyway. will go once a week for bit then will learn it all and go less and hope that this works.
I also asked about wanting to do upper strength said do any that dont hurt and or don't lean forward at all or back too far. So okay will try again.
Also told hubby I am holding him accountable to make me do these 2x day lol he said not me, I said yea cos if I dont the recovery will be worse and way longer and you dont want that any more than I do. lol
besides my back is so sore, I only want to get it better as it can.
Okay off to get the dishes done and lol go do my exercises.

    I am finding that as my core strengthens my balance is getting better. I think you are on the right path, just going to take a long time, just stick with it, the way to look at it is at least you can have surgery!!!

    Your core muscles will help your back once their stronger Cinders- keep Jamie in mind too, posture will help enormously.
And If you need your butt kicked to get the exercises done you know where to come emoticon emoticon

Hope the exercises soon make a difference, but be prepared for the long haul- look how long it took my shoulder to heal!

Totally tired Thursday

I am so tired and frustrated. Last night was better pain wise still there but was able to at least get comfortable enough to lay still, and what happens but hubby has one of those nights where he snored and snored, I prodded him 2x, told him to roll over once, and then gave up. Then Allie woke me up at 6:03! Holy frig come on dog, you go out at 11 pm or 2 am when hubby goes to bed. I called her she came up but only laid in the hall till 6:15, and I was getting so angry with the noise beside me, the dog crying I gave up and got up.
Well for once, less pain laying down. Boy was I ever limping so am doubly glad physio startss today to see if we can loosen that hamstring. I am sure that is part of it cos my leg wont lay flat if I am on my belly, my knee wont go flat so yea this has to be all pulling at the butt, and hence the back. So hoping!
Rain here today, but that's okay I have plans and nothing is going to stop my plans. I am going to physio, then on way home may stop in at Micheals and bed bath and beyond. Going to look for a frame at Micheals and a pillow at bed,b and b. Has anyone used those special ones for between your knees. I am wondering if they stay put better.
Home to finish helping dad and then I hope to have a nap! lol Well seems I shouldn't say that cos those are the days I don't LOL
Okay off to move before I sieze up here and then have some breakfast and get ready for physio! HUGS

    My husband snores like a train. He finally decided to wear those Breath Right nose patches as I convinced him he was killing me and they help some.

This past month or so, my pain had gone from nill ( 2 days) to 3-5 to weell over 10. whew. When I went to chiro a few months back and he did 2 treatments I didnt fare well. Yesterday I went to his wife also chiro and she used this little manipulator gun thing and asked me first I said I don't know, Jason told you last time not to but I don't know about this time. So she did, felt okay. Got home was not bad, took dad to do his taxes so so. Then 8 pm or so starting to hurt, woke at 2:15 said to hubby are you coming to bed soon, yes please bring the ice up. So still took long while to get comfy. if there was over 10 in pain scale be a 18 for sure.
So fell asleep and allie woke me at 6:25 slowwwwwwww and short even without ice etc but too bad.
Lesson learned no more chiro till after knee surg. or till less inflamed. I told him the chiro, that I am not go back, as seems if they put my back in aligment, it make s my knee so sore( have my big off loading brace on today) but last night was both. This am after our walk it is my butt cheek for sure but feels deeep intense pain not the sharp shooting pain I had with sciatica on the othter side. I still will say this pain isn't as bad as last years sciatica so keep telling myself that and that I can still walk, move, rest to some degree... so thankful for that measure of relief. but this is totally why I am scared to get my knee done, my back is so bad. So hopefully my knee will help my back.
I go to physio for my knee and hamstring on thurs. I am wondering if that is part of this, my knee is not bending, hamsstring tight which makes my butt tight, hence pulls baack, and knee. yesterday she got me to lay on my belly and my R leg woldnt' lay on the table for about an inch, she said oh yea that is tight.
Anyway........ such is my story and now let's see. I am doing well otherwise, mind is doing okay lol we are getting dad really sorted out and looking more like an apt. not just a stopping point lol Hubby got the stereo, the new smoke detectors, and more shelves up. He also helped him sort more stuff. I got some stuff up on shelves a box of decorations undone and up. Today more of the same, only 3 boxes of puter stuff but that can be sorted and put away ow that the stereo is off those shelves. Then just a tidy on thur eve and we are done till he can get his stuff out to cut trim etc. then door frames, baseboard and closet doors thats it.
Today, depends how well I move, but be down there for some and thats about it, unless my flying apron is at the library, taking a long time considering I was first, but they said the person hasn't returned it. I did get 3 gluten free books from library yesterday, one is 1,000 recipes and had to get hubby to carry it lol
Okay off to do a bit more, stood to do some of this sat for some. I will survive and come out of this feeling fine later, no lasting effects but know I will be cancelling the apt for next week. I just have to see how close I am to my 500 dollar cut off on my insurance, cos then can send the balances that my insurnace hasn't paid to hubby's but have to spend it all first. lol they always get you !!!

    so sorry to hear about more pain you are having but you have a fighting spirit and I think although at times a drag Allie is a big help as it gives you a reason to walk

    I have always heard good things about chiros but it apparently does not work for everyone.

I need to see if our library has any gluten free cookbooks.

    So sorry for all your pain. Admire your good attitude. That attitude is likely to help you find the cure you need. Sometimes it is trial and error on figuring it out. You are so right to be thankful that you are not a chronic pain person. My year with pain also made me very, very thankful and less likely to judge others, not knowing what they are going through.
