Day 3 - 17 Day Diet

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Well day 3 and I have lost 3 lbs so far. I am hungry at some times and it is hard to always have the food that I need due to my busy schedule from work to school and with my kids. I managed and improvised on a salad from Wendy's last night which worked perfect and fit in the plan when I left some items off. I miss bread and sweets and my cravings are pretty bad but I am working through them. I will be happier when I have lost substantial weight and am off cycle one!
So tomorrow is a new day and hopefully the cravings will be a little less and I will keep on loosing!!!!

I wish I could tell you I know what you are living through. But I know this; I am a lover of food! The food that rules us and our wants. Oh how I love food. But today I have to do what I need to do to live. Yes live. I had a heart attack in August off 2009. And from that date I knew I had to stop if I was to live....live be alive and not DEAD!
Now I have searched a 100 diets and not one has helped me long term. I truly believe after many years of studying that 17DD is my solution. It allows me to eat, and eat healthy and work toward a real life plan.
I suggest you look at fatloser.com for the kick in the but link.
I needed this and it actually helps me deal with me. It hurts to look at why I am fat and what I have to do to live.
You will make it, as I will to. Yes it will be hard and yes it will suck but you and I are worth it all. I want to live and live for me a healthy happy person.

Tomorrow's Changes!

Thursday, September 22, 2011

So I am not starting the 17 day diet till Monday but I am going to slowly start changing my eating style over the weekend. I have to go shopping tomorrow so that will give me time to prepare with my list what I will be eating for the week. I am thinking lots of salads, chicken, tuna & salmon! Honestly it sounds amazing!!!! I am very excited about the changes and nervous that I will be able to stick with it!

Tomorrow I will start green tea with every meal, 8 glasses of water, reduced bread intake.

Wish me luck!!!!!

You can do it. There is SO much to eat even on cycle 1. I could not eat everything I was supposed to. My tummy wasnt big enough.

I always feel weary about diets that restrict particular foods. Good luck!

I think you will have great success with the 17-day process ... I got my son started on it ... he loved the first 17 days as it made him more aware of what he actually ate before and has since continued on and has lost 35 pounds ... it promotes a very healthy eating style I think ....     Did you read the whole book? It's really only the first cycle - the cleansing cycle, that is restrictive. The other 2 cycles add back in all food groups. The only thing it really restricts is processed food and artificial sweeteners which really aren't good for you.

Why don't you explore the team message boards? I am starting C1 again on Monday along with my co-leader and two other members. We all have done several rounds of all 3 cycles, so why don't you join us? Come and introduce yourself.

Good luck with the diet. I have tried the 17 Day Diet. I think South Beach works for me a little better though.

Not such a good day

Friday, February 26, 2010

So the diet was great for the first half of the day not so good for the second. WE had a going away party for a co-worker that was olive garden I took a larger salad and a little pasta which was a better choice than I would have made. But tonight my hubby came home with pizza so I splurged on that. But I made the promise to him and me that was my one splurge for the weekend. I figure I can't completely every meal everyday forever stay on my diet. I have done great this week and lost 4 pounds! Which I have only worked out once! My job requires me to be very active and on my feet everyday all day since I am a medical assistant so I am sure I get my 10,000 steps in. I am going to invest in a pedometer when I get my paycheck next week. I did get a very nice diet journal that I can log everything in and keep me on track I love the computer functions here and I will use both but I need things on paper as well!
So as I lay here in bed typing this I am going to plan tomorrow and the choices that I can make to be a complete sucess next week as well!
