What is a calorie?

Calories are the little bastards that get into your wardrobe at night and sew your clothes tighter.
MY CLOSET IS INFESTED WITH THE LOTS OF THEM.

Starting Over

Thursday, April 07, 2011

Feel of the wagon some due to some personal problems. Husband was laid off some times have been tough. He is back at work now as of Monday. I got really motivated to start over again when Courtney was elimated from the Biggest Loser. It is what she said that made me want to start over on my weight lose journey. If she can do it so can I. Ready to get my Spark fired up again.

I don't think I can add anything that hasn't already been said but I cann commiserate with you. I am such a big back slider it isn't EVEN FUNNY. BUT like was said before -- WE ARE NEVER GOING TO GIVE UP SO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES OR HOW MANY TIMES WE FALL OFF THAT WAGON!!

AGASSIFAN 4/9/2011 10:41AM

I am SO glad you are not giving up....if I can do it, at my age, so can you...NEVER GIVE UP!!!! Don't look back at what happened before, look towards your goal and keep on pluggin' away at it!!!!

We all have "bad" days/weeks....the point is to cut them to a minimum and get past that...even when "stuff" in your everyday life SUCKS, you still must remember that eating the wrong things just makes you feel WORSE, not better!!!!

Keep coming back to your goals...read the motivational articles and keep learning about your nutritional goals...

YOU ARE WORTH IT...don't let yourself sabotage the weight loss goal you are trying to reach...you are the one that puts that food in your mouth...when you feel the need to eat to relieve your pain, hit the veggies (I turn to roasted cauliflower or broccoli with garlic)...eat as much as you "NEED" to...and track it!!! And UP your water intake....the trick is to listen to your mood and "needs" and just go with a healthy choice instead of the former bad ones you comforted yourself with before....the diet doesn't dictate to you, you make it fit for you...

Peace & love!

There ya go! Fall 7 times, get up EIGHT! :) You can do this-- it's never too late to begin again. Stay positive and remember it's about the little changes daily adding up over time. You CAN do this!

So glad to hear your hubby is back to work-- unemployment IS SO STRESSFUL! I remember it well from when my hubby was out of work for 7 months, and then I too was unemployed for a few months last year. It's rough. But today is new, and a great time to refocus and get SPARKED!!

Hi Glad to hear you are starting over and that your husband is back to work. I felt that Courtney's comments and what she has done for herself, will motivate a great number of people. It also will tell people you don't have to be on the BIggest Loser to release weight.
So your journey continues, you WILL have a different attitude and I see great success coming to you.
Thank you for sharing

Spring

Saturday, February 19, 2011

I am looking forward to Spring because of the nice weather. Only one thing I did not like about it is that I have problems with allergies and asthma. Thank that is what is wrong with me now. Love to go walking and am looking forward to planting a garden and planting flowers. Just hope that allergies don't get me down to bad this year. Wishing everyone a happy spring time. Enjoy the warmer weather. Not looking forward to summer here in Texas. Gets to hot. Best wishes to everyone.

I have problem with the allergies and luckily have found something that helps with it. So don't give up ask the DR. and work through it. Last year we moved to AZ and I like heat but find the sun can be a bit much. So I just move my schedule to early morning and late afternoons. Watch the sun come up and go down then. Mid day is my time to get things done inside.

Spring is my favorite time of year... emoticon

Spring hasn't started yet in Michigan. We did get a few days of warmer weather (40's) , but going down cold again tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I am looking forward to it. To start walking outside again . The dampness of spring bothers my Sinuses . I just stock up on decongestants and don't let the situation get me down. Start planning now for how to overcome your obstacles.
