OK, here's the truth: I've been wanting to lose this excess weight for a very long time. I've been fit most of my life but after the birth of my third child, the weight just stayed on. Shortly after that, when the economy tanked, I was one of the unemployed statistics and my weight really skyrocketed. I thought it would come off naturally, but now, over a year later, I'm still officially overweight and just a few pounds shy of being obese. Yikes! How did THAT happen? How did a formally fit marathon runner become nearly obese?
Last year, I made it a goal to lose the weight. I tried. I started running a few times a week. I started SparkPeople. I was here religiously. But it didn't help.
This year I'm working harder. I'm focused. I've GOT to lose this weight and get back into shape. So here's my first blog post. My first effort. I'm on my way...
