Well, I've been maintaining current weight for quite a while now... I haven't gained, which is of course, a good thing, but I was hoping to have done better. My brother-in-law is getting married in August, and I am their matron of honor (jeez that makes me sound old...). I have my dress already, but I was a little disappointed that I had to buy it a size bigger. I am hanging in between sizes, which is a nuisance, but the dress is slim fitting so I decided- better safe than sorry! At least I won't have to wear 3 layers of Spanx. Just one. ;-)
To save $, I am switching from 1 on 1 personal training to group training. I'll still have the same trainer, but in a group setting, and the cost of the sessions is divided evenly among the class members.

Eee... did the first entry on the 'Couch 2 5k' program... jog for 1 min, walk for 2. Actually, I was supposed to walk for 1 1/2 mins, but I needed the extra 30 seconds. :-)
It was so hard... I wasn't able to do the intervals for the entire time, because at the halfway point I got a terrible shinsplint in my left leg. So, I only got one more jogging interval in after that, and gimped home. Not sure if it's me or the shoes, or both. I will ask my gym trainer next week.
I need this cardio so bad... I've told myself for so many years that I still hated running, but I am truthfully not entirely sure if that's the case. I've been procrastinating really bad about doing this C25K thing, but I need to try. What if I *like* running and I've been avoiding it all these years? My trainer would be so elated... :-)

I got on the scale today, and it registered a 3 lb *gain* from last week. I know, logically, based on my eating and exercise in the past week, it is not possible for me to have gained 3 lbs of fat in a week. My old nemesis, Aunt Flo, will be arriving soon, so I'm sure there's some water weight in there. There might even be some muscle building going on. :-) It was still sure disconcerting to see that higher number on the scale, though. I have to keep remembering the recently featured blog post regarding the scale and how it can be misleading... she was a 160 lb size 6, so I'm just keeping that picture in my mind. :-D

My trainer looked at my reports and has informed me that I need to reduce my intake of dairy fats and eat more meat. I like dairy fats. :-) And I'm lazy, so my red meat intake usually consists of ground beef. So I guess I better work on that, lol.

After much thought, I decided to update my weight... I haven't done it because it's kind of embarrassing, but I can't track my loss otherwise. *sigh* I suppose it's good that I didn't regain *all* the weight I lost, but still. :-/
