August reflections Ė September Goals

I am in such a good place right now! August is coming to a close and I have reached or will reach most of my goals. My weight loss goal may come down to the wire. I will fight for it because I want it.

September I am working on the following.

Weight loss Ė to be lower than I am at the start of September

Running Ė train for the 5K thatís 3x a week of running

Give carb cycling a shot with in my WW points

Make 2 new recipes

Practice positivity daily through journal and daily post

Continue Kettlebells & Weight lifting at least weekly.

Is this normal? Is anyone else addicted to the fight? Iíd like break this cycle thoughts / suggestions?

I learned that when I get close to a goal like say 100 official WW # lost. I always resist it.

I behave in ways that are not consistent with my goals.

Itís not that I donít want it. Itís that I am addicted to the negative feedback that makes me want to fight for it.

I like the fight, passion and energy that getting knocked down and coming back has to offer.

    Sure it's normal. You're more experienced at losing weight. It's easier to stay right here. Do what is required to push on through. YOU can do this! YOU are soooo worth the effort!

    Karen, I really don't know what to say, but I'll keep an eye on what works for you. What I can tell you is that there's not a single day that passes by without cravings of some kind. There lies my big problem. For me, it's a matter of self control or I will start gaining pounds any moment.

    Karen, It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and join the 'At Goal & Maintaining + Transition to Maintenance Team'. They would probably be able to help you through these last few pounds...that's part of their 'mission'.

My advice is to stop thinking about the 100 pound goal, and just take one day at a time. Think of the 1 or 2 pounds you want to lose THIS week. When I was at that point in my weight loss, I was out of town and couldn't weigh for 3 weeks...so I just totally passed over the 100 pound mark somewhere along the way. Didn't hurt a bit! emoticon

    Remember once you get to goal you get to maintain. It's the same fight, just done without the boost of seeing a number on a scale move and without the cheering extras. Be sure to come over to the At Goal Team on Spark, where we continue to cheer everyone on for....staying the same.

Goal - Itís just a matter of time

Because ÖÖ.

I believe I am worth the effort.
I know I will not quit. Quitting is not an option.
I donít have to be perfect. I stumble a lot but I just get right back up.
I will never beat myself up over slow progress or stand stills as long as the trend is in my favor.
Breaks are OK, back slides are not.

I am committed to the steps above. Today I am down a total of 101.6 (96.4 with Weight Watchers) and I know I can do this. Do you believe?
