March madness!!!

Thursday, March 08, 2012

Wow! Is it really March already? Where did the past two months go?

I have fallen off the wagon and climbed back on. Currently back to my exercise program with a few modifications. Finally strength training this week and it HURTS SO GOOD!!!

Fighting the "blue funk" that comes with slow progress. My heaviest was 230 lbs. and I currently weigh 209.8 lbs., so I choose to CELEBRATE that!

Thanks to all the Spark People out there who have fabulous pages and those who have offered encouragement to a newcomer! I really appreciate you!!!

Give me strength!

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

Well,...I did it! I have completed two 45-minute sessions of strength-training and I am pretty happy about it! I have been reviewing past issues of Oxygen Magazine and my strenght-training books that I own. I dragged myself into the home gym and went to work. Felt good when it was over!! :o)

Action!!!

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

I blew the dust off some of my favorite Nutrition/Exercise books and magazines (e.g., Dr. Joyce Vedral's "Now or Never", Tosca Reno's "Eat-Clean", Oxygen, Shape). It's time that I put the information into practice. Cardio is going pretty well for me. I have yet to implement my 2x/week strength-training. It's time! :o)

Off and running,...sort of!

Saturday, December 03, 2011

Okay,...I am pacing myself with my maiden voyage of C25K. Being 100 lbs overweight, I am being very cautious. I am through Day #3, but only walk/jogging half the program. Another Blogger suggested repeating each week to build slowly. Good advice! I am also alternating with a Leslie Sansone DVD and Zumba Gold. Trying to be more mindful of what I am eating, as well. Trying reduced carb vs. no carb. Still working on getting enough protein. Grocery haul today included lean beef, tuna, eggs, and turkey. Also upping the veggies. Wish me luck!!! ;-)

Thank you, everyone! It's been a rough start,...off-and-on,...but I'm back at it!

I DO wish you luck--and determination, stamina, patience and positive thinking!

You can do this as slowly as you feel necessary to keep yourself from injury, so go for it in any way that works for you.

Keep us posted of your progress!

Cautious is good. Slow and steady does it.
