Having a great day

Wednesday, October 03, 2012

Just thought I'd share that today is a great day for me and I hope its great for you too. After re-dedicating myself to better health I've lost 2 lbs and gained a new confindence. I walk with my head higher by the Grace of God.

Its is my prayer that you have a great day!

Charity Walk was a great walk!

Monday, October 01, 2012

This past Saturday, my co-worker and I (E-2 Pacemakers) trekked the 3 miles to raise money and awareness for the American Heart Association. I met people that work in the same building but had not been introduced, it was great!

There were neat freebies available and I got a much needed new pedometer! Great time, great cause. Was I sore the next day? Nope, felt great and didn't hit the snooze button!!

Zumba on XBOX 360 - Just WOW

Friday, September 07, 2012

My daughter just had a handsome babyboy (Jeremiah Tre').

She wanted to get back her "Sexy" as she calls it so I bought her Zumba for her Xbox 360. She loved it!!

Then my daughter insisted that I do it too! I did pretty good and I love all that intensity: I love feeling like I worked hard and I sure did.

The Zumba has lots of different routines and that music SUPER WOW! I just may get back my "Sexy" too!! emoticon

Walking and Talking God = Power Walk

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

My friend/work buddy use our lunch hour to walk for at least 20 to 25 minutes. We also talk about our day but the majority of the time we talk about our favorite topic God!

I shared with my friend that I was reading a book (this is my devotional God time book) its called "Failure is Not the End". Don't let the title throw you off. For example I read Day 9 (Book designed to be read once a day for a month) "Why is My Life on Hold?" Boy did I need to read the chapter and learn from the scripture references that are included. I am, Lord Willing, planning to go back to school and get my degree. This means I will need to change jobs with lower pay but still work fulltime and attend school fulltime. Relax I did it before with God's mighty hand kid and I am a single parent, so yes it can be done.

I am motivated and ready to go now but everytime I've tried to move, God has not opened a door. After reading this lastest entry in the "Failure..." I understood why: you have to be ready for what God will bless you with BEFORE you get it. You have to be prepared to trust Him and pray to Him daily. Additionally, there are other parts of my life that need work before I can handle the responsibility of this kind of blessing. Before today, I didn't get that. Now that I do, I can cool my jets and work on what God is showing me needs to change first before He will grant my request.

Its tough waiting but I would rather wait on God and get it right than do it on my own steam and fall flat on my face getting in the way of my own blessing.

Psalm 37:3-4, 7, 23

Pray and a walk are a good thing

Friday, August 17, 2012

Last night I needed to blow off some steam, so I took a walk and invited Jesus to come with me. The entire I prayed and pounded the pavement. On reflection, what great combination: talking to our Creator and working to keep the temple of the Holy Spirit (my body) healthy.

After my walk, God answered the prayer I prayed during my walk. I felt and feel so much better.

Getting out of my comfort zone today, going to check the gym located in the complex beautiful clubhouse. Not real crazy working out with strangers, I have a bad habit of comparing myself to others but I am going anyway. Next, going to check out that pool and do a workout in there. Would appreciates any suggestions for a pool workout; not a strong swimmer but once I get back in the swim of things I am certain I will be soon. Be blessed and be a blessing.
