I am a 25 year old mother (Aiden, 3) and wife to a punk rocker. My job is sedentary and I need to get moving! I'm 5'4'' and at the top of my "healthy weight" at 150 lbs and would like to get to the median "healthy weight" for my height, 120 lbs. My goal is to look and feel better. As a working mom I don't have a lot of time but I'm slowing feeling out a routine. Gym equipment intimidates me and seems insanely boring, so my workout plan involves classes, spinning, and activities (basketball with the fam?). Today I took my first ab class. On Monday I will take yogalattes. I am hoping to spin for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.
My husband is getting healthy with me, which makes this a lot easier for me than I am sure it is for other married women. For the most part, we don't buy prepackaged/premade items. We eat lots of veggies but have simple carb issues. My husband loves pasta and I love rice. It will be a challenge to find a simple starch replacement - we both grew up eating them and the plate looks weird without one. I've already tried a Spark recipe, so we are on our way!
