If I can do it...You can do it!

Today, I am SO Happy!! I completed my first ever 5 mile WATP! emoticon I had been putting it off and putting it off and would walk 2 miles...3 miles...or 4 miles, always avoiding the looooong 5 miler. Well, I said, emoticon and ... DID IT!!

I've been noticing lately that my breathing isn't labored during the workouts which makes me feel good that the aerobics is keeping my heart healthy.

Our bodies are meant for moving. Think about the natural "high" you will get after completing one workout emoticon Just take one step at a time, vary your workouts (and for me, that is alternating the number of miles done each day), keep up your participation in your SP teams and with your friends, and GO FOR IT!!

Walk Away The Pounds

Just recently I became co-leader of Leslie Sansone's Walking DVD'S Team, a team which concentrates on walking as part of your everyday life. I've been using WATP dvd's for a few months now and am thoroughly enjoying them and am aiming to add to my collection of Leslie Sansone's dvds.

Walking is a great way to get in your exercise.... just "moving" your body can do wonders to start or end your day. For me, I enjoy working out in the morning (or else I won't do it...it's as simple as that...lol). Leslie incorporates kicks, knee lifts, and arm movements in with walking at different paces. Really gets one to sweat since it's a form of low impact aerobics.

I believe that taking part in the team I'm helping to lead holds me more accountable to do the WATP dvd's....and that's a GREAT thing!!

I'm on my way

It's Saturday and I'm feeling really good today!! Often my Saturdays are very laid back and I skip exercising. I figure, "Why do it on the weekend when my husband is off from work? I'll just start over on Monday." This past week is the first of many in which I fulfilled my goal of working out 5 times instead of 3 or, gasp...4! lol (Although I won't beat myself up if I spent 4 days working out that week).

I have my eye set on weight loss, and taking what I am learning from the book, Coach Approach from Weight Watchers and using a couple of WW cookbooks, I believe I am gaining tools to succeed. I want to thank my SP friends for their support emoticon
